MOTHER’S
DAY!
We’ve enjoyed some of our “nice”, Wisconsin, typical 4 seasons in one
week, type weather we’ve been having! Our committees have been
working this month, continuing to make plans for new and upcoming
things! We continue to enjoy the company of family and friends visiting
in rooms, praying everyone stays safe and healthy! And if you haven’t
heard, we have more famous people who live here now, as we filmed
our Waunakee Manor commercial for TV! Many community members
and staff came together for the filming of the commercial with Fox 47
TV. Thank you to all who participated and made this so special!
To our WONDERFUL Nurses here at Waunakee Manor,
Katie, Selena, Sam, Kathy, Fred, Dian, Kim, Kate, Sherry, Spencer,
Amber, Joni, Brooke, Lynn, Sulyman, Aimee, Christine, Julie, Carol, Jon,
Denice, Deb, Jillian, Gail, Thomas, Sinafik, Susan, Joeseph
Thank you for your dedication, patience, teamwork and compassion. Despite the challenges
over the past year, you continued to provide a safe, comfortable, happy place to be for our
community members. We are forever grateful. Thank You For All You Do!!

Happenings This Month...
May 5th: 12:00 noon Cinco de Mayo Lunch Fiesta Stop at the margarita
bar on your way into lunch today as we enjoy some Mexican cuisine.
Also, May 5th: Join us for Resident Discussion prior to our Wednesday
bingo game. Resident Discussion is a time to bring up any questions,
concerns or compliments you may have about your home here at
Waunakee Manor.
May 6th: Birthday Treat to Celebrate May Birthdays Enjoy a birthday treat
with lunch today to celebrate our friends having May birthdays!
Also May 6th: Crafty Bunch Making celebrity garden fairies; Choose your
favorite celebrity to make a plant or outdoor decoration!
May 7th: “Glamma Makeovers” To be a Glamorous Grandma is to be a
“Glamma”! Our makeover “dream team” will be stopping by your room
today to offer you a mini makeover! You deserve a little extra pampering
for Mother’s Day!

May 17th: Gardening Day The Garden Committee has been working hard planning, pricing and coming up with ideas for the outdoor spaces of our home. Join us today to help put it all together! If you don’t have a “green thumb” borrow one today! May 21st: Pizza Pub Lunch Enjoy hot, Little Caesar’s Pizza for lunch today! Also May 21 st: We are welcoming back Jim Hetzel with Gemini Entertainment to sing some of your favorite tunes. We are excited to hear live music again! May 27th: Team Trivia Happy Hour Enjoy a beverage and cheer on your team as we play for points and bragging rights today. OTHER INFO: GENERAL STORE COMMITTEE will meet on Tuesdays at 10:00 am in Room #41 *Keep it up Snappy Steppers! May is a new month for new goals! New Goal sheets are available for those of you keeping track of distance or time spent wheeling or walking. What is “Snappy Steppers” you ask? This is an informal program designed to get you motivated to set goals for yourself, stay mobile, and to keep on being healthy! It doesn’t matter if you walk, jog, wheel or ride, your participation and motivation is the important thing! FOR YOUR MOTIVATION…..CASH PRIZES THIS MONTH for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place distance and time goals. We will recognize Walking, wheeling/riding categories. Please see Activity staff with any questions.

Green, WI. I have 6 children - Marlene, Marge, Dean, Greg, Joe, Frank and
a dog named Pitter Patter.
Name a few hobbies and interests you enjoy: Horses, dogs and cards.
If you could live anywhere, where would you choose?: Spring Green,
WI.
What is your biggest pet peeve?: Unable to walk.
Favorite Things...
Music: Country
Food: Mashed potatoes with gravy, applesauce and Oreo cookies.

Sports teams: Packers, Brewers and Badgers.
Animals: Dogs and cats.
Card game: Euchre
What are you most thankful for?: My children and Pitter Patter.
What is the most important thing you have learned in your life?:
“Take care of your family!”
We enjoy Ella for her love of game shows and her stories about “Pitter
Patter”. It’s always fun to spend a couple extra minutes in her room to
see who wins on the game show she’s watching! Ella loves to talk “pets”
as well. Thank you, Ella, for all of your wonderful stories!BEST WISHES TO OUR FRIENDS
