Information Bulletin
About NITTT
With rapidly changing technological scenario in view of ever-increasing globalization as well
as competitiveness in modern times, the role of technical education in economic
development has become very important but challenging. Also, as a consequence of intensive
technological developments, the concerns of sustainability, environmental degradation,
resource depletion and inclusive growth have become more relevant. The need for well-
qualified engineers/ professionals is more critical for the solution of numerous complex
problems that affect the quality of life of everyone, everywhere. In view of the above, the
concerns for making the relevant educational curricula and training to teachers relevant to
the global needs is becoming a top priority.
Looking into the present needs, the AICTE has framed a policy in the name of “National
Initiative for Technical Teachers Training (NITTT)”. This brings out character building of
teachers, important facets of new teaching methodology and innovative means of
transferring knowledge, in building a better educational ecosystem.
NITTTR has been identified as the implementing agency, for this policy. The Ministry of Human
Resource Development, established four NITTTR, way back in the year 1964 with the main
aim of transforming technical education of our country. With this vision, institute transformed
the technical education towards the need based research in the area of engineering
education.
In the phase 1, the eight online courses have been prepared and it is applicable to the new
inductee teachers and teachers who are in service but less than five years of teaching
experience.
The contents are uploaded in the National MOOC platform, SWAYAM and the participants are
encouraged to study and get transformed. The unique aspect of this policy is to incorporate
Mentor based training and Industrial training in addition to this eight modules.
NITTT Examination
The information related towards the registration for the NITTT examination is provided in this
document. Please read this document carefully before registering for NITTT Examination. The
last date for exam registration is 31st August 2020. National Testing Agency (NTA) has been
identified as the nodal testing agency to conduct the proctored final examination and themodule certification would be done through NITTT. The final professional certification will be
provided by NITTT after completing all the three phases (MOOCs, Mentor Training & Industrial
Training) of learning. It will facilitate the faculty members towards enhancing the professional
skills as per the 7th Pay Commission Gazette Notification. The examination for the NITTT
courses is scheduled to be held on the following dates

Note: Internal Assessment – 30 Marks
External Proctored Examination – 70 Marks.
a) The external proctored examination would be a Computer Based Test (objective
type questions) of three hours’ duration of 100 questions with the maximum mark
of 100
b) The learner who has enrolled to study in any of the eight modules in the
SWAYAM Platform and scored minimum of 50% in Internal Assessment (ie. 15
Marks out of 30 Marks) is eligible for appearing for the examination of that
particular module.
c) The learner who had successfully qualified in the examinations for the module,
after securing 50% in Proctored External Examination (ie. The exam score will be
converted to 70 and minimum 35 marks out of 70 marks) will be issued a certificate
by NITTT for completing that module.
d) The examination will be held in 125 cities across the country. The list of centres
(cities) is provided in the Annexure - I.Fee Details
There is one time registration fee of Rs.2000/- towards professional certification for all the
three phases of learning. The registration fee is valid for three years.
There is an examination fee for each module of Rs. 1000/- which has to be paid through
participant Dashboard at NITTT Portal. The Rs. 1000/- is called a Certification fee (Module
fee).
Procedure for registration to the examination.
1. The learners /faculty members have to register all the modules which they have
undergone in the semester. For example, if a participant has paid Certification Fee /
Module fee for all eight modules but, completed learning in SWAYAM for three
modules, then he/she has to register all the three modules to appear for the
examination.
2. Step by step procedure for NITTT Exam registration can be accessed at www.nittt.ac.in
in the document tab. Participant can download Registration Manual to proceed the
registration.
Last Date of Registration
The registrations for NITTT examination are open now at www.nittt.ac.in and last date
for registration is 31st August 2020.
Issue of Hall Ticket
1. The Hall ticket can be accessed on 09.09.2020 from the www.nta.ac.in
Result Declaration
The CBT results (without internal assessment) will be declared by NTA on 09.10.2020.
The results with internal mark will be declared by NITTT. The total result will be published at
NITTT Portal.
Certification
Certification will be issued to all successful candidates who secured 50 % and above
in the respective modules. The participants need to secure 50% in the external proctored
examination. The certification will be combination of both internal and external marks.Important Dates

Important Instructions
i. Candidates can apply for NITTT “Online” only. No offline application will be
entertained
ii. National Testing Agency (NTA) is entrusted to conduct the exam in a proctored
environment.
iii. The exam would be entirely computer-based test (CBT) of three hours duration. The
question paper will consist of objective type questions.
iv. The paper would be of 100 questions with the maximum 100 marks and no negative
marking.
v. Final result will be prepared based on the weightage to both external and internal
assessment in the ratio of 70: 30 shall be declared by AICTE-NITTTR.
vi. Candidates must retain the following documents with them as reference for future
correspondence a) Exam Hall Ticket b) At least 2 copies of identical passport size
Photograph that was Uploaded in the Dashboard (b) Examination attendance slip
certified by the examination centre.
vii. Candidates must ensure that mobile numbers, e-mail ID filled in the NITTT registration
are their own. The NTA will make communication by SMS and/or e-mail on given
mobile number and e-mail ID.
viii. The NTA will not be responsible for non-receipt of latest information due to wrong
mobile number, e-mail ID and correspondence address filled in the NITTT Registration.
ix. Ensure that correct data is submitted in NITTT Registration. Candidates may ensure
clear and latest photograph and signature are uploaded in the NITTT Registration
x. Eligibility of the candidate will be determined on the last date of hall ticket generationxi. The examination centre allotment is automatic based on the demand of the number
of examinees and there is no human intervention. In case of large number of
candidates selecting a particular city / center, he / she will be allotted to the next
preference.
xii. In case the number of learners in any given center is less than viable number of ten
candidates/learners, then he/she will be allocated another alternative exam centre.
xiii. Information Bulletin and FAQs related to the registration and examination process will
be hosted on the website.
