ITEC Level 2 Certificate in Manicure and pedicure
ITEC WAXING CERTIFICATE LEVEL 2
Waxing is an advanced beauty skill which is of the highest demand in today’s beauty salon. It is
a specialised skill essential to enhance your beauty career. This course will give you the skills
and recognised certification to build a career as a wax therapist. No prior beauty industry
experience is required to complete this course. An excellent opportunity for anyone to earn a
second income, add to their skillset or existing qualifications. Earn a second income, work in a
beauty salon, work as a mobile wax therapist simply study it as a hobby for you!
When you have gained experience why not train in our Advanced Waxing course to enhance your
skill set and treatment list.

Waxing Certificate students will cover comprehensive training and extensive practical
experience in the following areas:
• Client consultation
• Contraindications to treatment
• Insurance
• Structure of the hair
• Hair types
• The Endocrine System
• Other forms of depilation
• Preparing the area
• Application technique for cool wax and hot wax
• Study the removal of hair from the following areas:
Half leg, Full leg, Underarm, Bikini, Lip, Chin, Forearm, Eyebrows and sides of the face
• Treatment aftercare and maintenance
• Pricing your treatments
• Marketing
• Hygiene and sterilisation
• Health & Safety
Students will work on one another for the duration of the course. A suitable model is required
for your ITEC practical examination at the end of the course. They must have adequate hair
growth in all areas and not be contraindicated to any part of the treatment to be a suitable
model.

Our comprehensive nail technology diploma is an advanced course that prepares learners to
work as professionals in the industry. As well as modules varying in manicure, pedicure, gel
nails and acrylics, you will also study everything from how to run your own business, pricing
structures and how to market yourself as a nail technician.
The nail industry is a thriving and exciting one and perfect for those with a passion for all tings
nails. Successfully completing this course can see graduates working from home, setting up
their own business, become a nail educator for various nail brands. The list goes on!
Pre-Requisite
Students of this course need not have any previous beauty or nail qualifications as this course
commences at the very basics of nail technology studies. Students must be 16 years of age or
over at the time of course commencement.

tutors, and our students to carefully monitor their progress throughout the course.
