Why have you received this catalogue?
Twenty two students from our school are very excited to be undertaking an expedition to
Nepal in October 2021. This is a fabulous opportunity for our students to experience a very
different culture and to take part in some real development projects, which will have a long
lasting and sustainable impact on local communities in Nepal.
Croydon High School, in partnership with Global Action, are working to ensure our students
have this opportunity to broaden their own personal experience as well as gain an
understanding of other places and people in the world. This will have a long term impact on
them, such as gaining interpersonal skills, resilience, a sense of global citizenship and being
part of a close knit team. An important part of the expedition is to raise funds to pay for the
cost of travel, accommodation and to support local charities in Nepal, such as the Gurkhas
and Water projects.
Despite the difficult situation we are in due to Covid19, Croydon High School is determined
that our students do not lose the opportunity to take part in these life changing
experiences. Therefore we are supporting their individual fundraising by collating a
collection of their own home made products into this catalogue.
How to Order...
Look through the Catalogue and select the products you wish to purchase. Then complete
the order form at the end. Please make sure you have detailed the following ...
● The name and tutor group of the pupil in school placing this order (so we know
who to deliver the items to)
● The product code for each item and the number required
● Please place your order in a sealed envelope, marked NEPAL XMAS, along with
the total amount in cash (we will not be able to provide change), and place this in the
box on reception by Tuesday December 1st.

We would love to raise as much money as possible to raise awareness for less fortunate people and develop our independent skills outside of school. We want to contribute as much as we can to Global Action to help fund our trip. 1

This expedition is important to me because I will be helping another community, learning and appreciating Nepalese culture, food and history. Overall, this trip will widen my perspective of the world and teach me how to appreciate the lives of others and issues they face. 2

We will be helping poverty reduction projects and will be involved in supporting conservation programmes. 3

We get to teach children from a school and Nepal, and get to learn about their lives and how we can support them. All of the money from this catalogue is raised towards this trip. 8

Why we are fundraising
