Visa Information, Private Guides and Booking Terms
RATE EXCLUSIONS
Guests from countries with an embassy or consulate for Republic of the Congo
(ROC) are required to get a visa prior to travel. Guests in countries without
embassies can obtain visas on arrival with prior notice, on request.
Republic of the Congo Visa Information
Sangha/Congo Basin Discoveries require a multiple-entry ROC visa prior to

A copy of the traveller’s passport is required upon booking confirmation to
secure required border documentation.
CAR visa and access authorisation fees included in applicable
Discoveries. Our team will manage customs clearance en-route to
Sangha Lodge.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
• Please note: all rates in this document are quoted in US$.
• All Discoveries begin and end in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo connecting with the in-seat charter flights on Mondays/Thursdays between
Brazzaville and Mboko (Odzala Discovery Camps) (2 hours).
• Discoveries which include Sangha Lodge make use of charter flights between Mboko and Kabo (near the Central African Republic border) (40
minutes) on Wednesdays and Sundays.
• Sangha Lodge Discoveries require return flight and boat transfer, whether guests use the return legs or not.
• Congo Conservation Company, registered in the Republic of the Congo, and Congo Conservation Travel, registered in South Africa, will not
accept any responsibility for guests departing on any arrangements not made by its reservations team.
• All reservations for Congo Conservation Company are managed by Congo Conservation Travel (South Africa).
• No reservation is deemed confirmed unless acknowledged and accepted in writing by the Reservations Manager.
• Provisional bookings will be held for 14 days. A 20% non-refundable deposit must be paid to secure the booking.
• The balance is due no later than 30 days before arrival.
• If a reservation is made 1 – 45 days prior to the arrival date, full payment is due.
• For group bookings of 3 rooms or more, the full balance needs to be paid 60 days prior to arrival.
• Group Adventures/Hosted Discoveries departures from July - August require a 20% deposit within 25 days of a provisional booking to secure
space.
• Accommodation payments can only be made in US$ via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer - all bank charges are to be accepted by the Payee and
Congo Conservation Travel will not be liable to cover these charges).
• Extras must be settled in cash at camp. Central African Franc (XAF) and Euro accepted.
• Only XAF and EURO are accepted in Central African Republic. XAF and Euro are suggested for Republic of the
Congo, other currencies are accepted at a premium (exchange bureau at Radisson Blu Hotel).
CANCELLATIONS:
• A 20% fully refundable deposit must be paid to secure the booking within 14 days of confirmation
• Between confirmation and 61 days prior to arrival, full refund of deposit less admin fee.
• Between 60 & 46 days, 50% of the total cost will be charged.
• Between 45 days and a ‘no show’, 100% of the total cost will be charged.
• The cancellation policy also applies to confirmed bookings that reduce their length of stay. The above cancellation fees will apply on the
released night/s.
• Cancellations of reservations must be in writing and are elective upon acknowledgement of receipt by the company
COVID-19 CANCELLATIONS:
• All travellers are advised to take out fully comprehensive travel insurance with cancellation for no reason. This insurance must be able to fully
cover cancellation of travel less than 60 days prior to arrival.
• In special circumstances the property may consider postponement of booking to 12 months in advance if travel cancelled 60 days or less
prior to arrival due to a COVID related issue - further lockdown, no flights, guest not allowed to board a flight, a guest falls ill due to COVID-19
