The 90 km bike course offers 870 meters of climbing and some speedy sections on fast roads. Just before the spectacular climb up

The course peak is at 1280 meters above sea level at the Filzensattel.

BIKE COURSE - CAUTION SLOW
The IRONMAN 70.3 Zell am See-Kaprun bike-course is a fast course and enhance you to go for your maximum
speed. Nevertheless, you should be aware of the following points:
• Wooden bridge at km 3 when you start the bike course and at km 87 when you finish the bike course
• steep downhill and sharp turn in Lend (before you start the climb to Filzensattel)
• downhill from Filzensattel to Hinterthal
• wooden bridge after Kaprun (downhill part followed by a wooden bridge
In addition to that please be careful at the whole course, there might be some road undulations or other critical
parts! Take care and watch carefully! Use the time prior to the event and get the bike course known in detail!
Even if the road is closed during the race be aware of traffic on course!

After finishing the second lap of the bike course, you will return to
transition area, rack your bike according your BIB number, grab your
red bag and exit the transition area at Run-Exit.
The two-loop run course takes athletes from Schüttdorf to Zell am
See city center and further around the lake to Thumersbach. From
there you go back to Zell am See, do another turn via Thumersbach
and to the finish line in Zell am See.

• Lap band handover After a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km bike and a 21,1 km run you will enter the IRONMAN 70.3 Zell am See-Kaprun Finish line and celebrate
with thousands of cheering fans.
• when you enter the city center the third time, turn left and
enjoy your run into the finishline
• It is not allowed to run down the finish line with friends, relatives or children. This is a reason for disqualification!
• Immediately after the finish line, you will have an aid station, which offers you drinks and the first chance to recover.
