Navigating the French capital’s shopping scene can be a little
tricky, some insider tips are necessary! Read on for our best
tips on planning your Paris shopping trip including the best
neighborhoods to shop in, itineraries, and all you need to know
to have the best shopping experience while in Paris.
Shops opening hours
Some crucial knowledge when shopping in Paris is knowing typical store opening hours.
Most large stores are open from 9am to 7pm Monday through Saturday.
Smaller stores typically open from 10:30am to 7pm and sometimes close between 12pm and 2pm for lunch.
The weekend however, can be problematic. A lot of stores are closed on Sunday, so make sure you take that
into account when planning.
During sales periods or Christmas season some shops will extend their opening hours to later (9pm) and will
remain opened on Sundays.

Around the Latin quarter between the 6th and 7th arrondissements of
Paris – these streets go from Saint Sulpice Church to Le Bon Marché
which is an incredible department store. Full of little boutiques and
French brands, it has something for everyone and is a great place to
go shoe shopping for women. Follow these little streets to find hidden
surprises as they are full of exquisite boutiques that might just have

BHV A nice classic department store with a good men’s
department. Very similar to the other big shopping
malls but slightly smaller, the main features of BHV
is its wonderful arts and crafts section and home sec-
tion! Le BHV is one big department store as well as
smaller ones located on nearby streets for specific
sections such as sports and men’s. It is located in the
middle of Paris next to Le Marais and Hotel de Ville.
There is also a fantastic rooftop bar opened on week-
ends at the top floor of the BHV
