                               This Fall’s Adult Fitness & Enrichment Programs at the Recreation Center feature
 FITNESS &                     classes focused on the body and mind. From yoga and pilates to a defense class,

                                                         Beginners Pilates Mat Class
                                                         Pilates is a series of exercises supporting strengthening & toning
                                                         of the body. Exercises are performed lying on back, lying on side,
                                                         prone, seated, and standing. Participants should wear comfortable
                                                         clothing meant for exercise and bring a mat.

Personal Safety for Women
Statistics show that approximately one out of every three women will be violently assaulted during their lifetime, and out of every
three women attending a four-year college will be sexually assaulted. This class will provide tactics for defensive protection, as well
as the physical techniques needed to escape, and survive a violent situation. These techniques are simple, fun to learn, extremely
effective, and easily retainable. Class participants will become safer, more confident, and take away the following skills:
