3rd Wave Triathlon Club meets to train from April-July in anticipation of the
Morden Triathlon. The triathlon will be held in early July 2021 at Lake

Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre

Museum of Paleontology
Our galleries provide a great interpretation of life in the Western Interior Seaway
from the late Cretaceous period of earth’s prehistory. Our extensive collection of
marine reptile fossils is the largest in Canada and is very well represented in our
gallery space.
The Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre annually conducts Fossil Dig Adventure
Tours for children, families, and earth science enthusiasts of all ages.

Museum Adventure Tours and workshops are also regularly planned for
children, families, and earth science enthusiasts of all ages.

Country Cycle

Country Cycle runs a full service bike and XC ski shop, club rides, races and a kids
of mud program.
Kids of Mud is a learn-to-ride and learn-to-race program for kids 16 and under
covering the Fundamentals, Learn to Train and Train to Train stages of Long
Term Athlete Development.

FUN&FIRE-school is a school of a new and cool sport, activity and performing art!
We teach how to spin, dance and perform with poi, fire-fans, staff, double-staff,
fire hoop, Rope Dart and so on! This is a great opportunity for all ages to improve
own body, brain and own life!
No fire during our classes! But if you have been dreaming about spinning fire - let

Grass Roots Movement Studio
Small personalized Pilates and wellness based exercise classes that can be
customized to fit a groups specific requirements and needs. Classes could be
geared for athletes, or for those dealing with injuries. Focus is on strengthening,
stretching, body awareness, toning, tension release, and enjoying the class
experience. Private sessions are also available.

Minnewasta Golf & Country Club

The Minnewasta Golf & Country Club is a world-class, 18 hole facility that takes
advantage of the scenic Pembina Escarpment to provide some of the most
challenging golf topography in the province to please both competitive and
recreational golfers. It is one of the host courses for the International Golf
Tournament held the last weekend of July.

Morden Achievers 4-H

Members pick projects of their choice to complete from Oct.-April. Anything from
cooking, sewing, crafts, babysitting, mechanics, etc. Provided we have a leader to
teach it. All members are asked to present a speech or visual in early spring. We
also do some community help. Go curling,etc.

The Morden Friendship & Activity Centre always has lots going on. They have a

Junior Curling Program
Weekly program for children aged 10-17. The program offers basic curling skills,
game strategy and the chance to play mini games throughout the year. Adult

Morden Curling Club has Men’s, Women’s, Senior’s and Mixed Leagues that run
from October to March. Learn to Curl Program to teach all ages the curling basics.

Morden Figure Skating Club

The Morden Figure Skating Club offers Can Skate, Group and Private figure
skating lessons for all levels.
CanSkate is Skate Canada’s flagship learn-to-skate program that teaches
fundamental movements (go forward, go backward, stop, turn, spin and jump)
and basic skills. The CanSkate Program emphasizes fun and continuous
movement and is taught in a group lesson format. Sessions run October-March
StarSkate offers opportunities for skaters to develop fundamental figure skating
skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating.
This program teaches figure skating skills in a group and/or private lesson
format in a progressive and sequential manner and includes specifically designed
awards and incentives. Sessions run October-March.

COVID-19 Update:
On behalf of the Morden Figure Skating Club we are happy to let you know that
we will be running a skating program this season. We will continue to follow the
Skate Canada guidelines and make accommodations and alternations to our
programming as is required of us. This year registrations will be done online.

Morden Junior Rifle Club

Classes are every Tuesday from 7-9 pm. Students will spend one hour in the
classroom and one hour will be spent on the range shooting and learning the safe
handling of firearms. In spring students have the opportunity to write the exam
to receive their Hunters Safety Certificate.

Morden Minor Soccer

Morden Minor Soccer Association (MMSA) is a volunteer based Youth Soccer
Association dedicated to Kindergarten through Grade 10 youth. The leadership of
the coaches and the Officials focuses on teaching solid soccer skills,
sportsmanship and physical conditioning for all players. The program runs in
August and September with a windup at the end of September

Free programs for children the ages of 1 – 12 and their families. Based on
literacy, nutrition, fitness & social connections. Programs are offered between

Pembina Panthers Soccer Academy

Pembina Valley Panthers Soccer Academy focuses on developing excellent ball
mastery in players as they gain an understanding of the game.

Sessions will take place at the Meridian Exhibition Centre in Winkler on
Thursday evenings beginning in early November and ending in late March. Ages
6-7 and 8-9 will have sessions from 6 to 7 PM. Ages 10-12 and 13-15 will have
sessions from 7:15 to 8:30 PM.
The registration cost is $250 per child with a 20% discount for each additional
child per family and a 10% discount for South Central Youth Soccer Premier
players.

A wrap-up event is planned for Saturday, March 27 at the Meridian Exhibition
Centre in Winkler.

Pembina Valley Rhythmic Gymnastics Club

Classes for girls ages 5-15. Gymnasts will learn skills with different pieces of
hand apparatus- ropes, hoops, balls, scarves, and ribbons. Gymnasts will also
focus on basic body movements including balancing, turning and jumping. A
routine will be created to music and performed for the parents on the last day.

Scouts Canada – Not currently running in Morden

Scouts Canada is the country’s leading youth organization. For more than 100
years, we have brought a world of adventure, outdoor experience and friendship
to 17 million Canadian youth. Scouts have a lot of fun discovering new things and
experiences they wouldn’t have elsewhere. Along the way they develop into
capable, confident and well-rounded individuals, better prepared for success in
the world.

Promoters are Peter Hoeppner (204) 822-3865 and Jememy
HoeppnerDirections: From Rocks Bar & Grill in Morden, go approximately 9.6 km
south on Highway 432. The road turns to gravel, then follow the curve west for
0.8 km and turn right into the tract entrance. (Large overhead sign) The track is
approximately 2 hours south west of Winnipeg. Riding Times are Tuesday,
Thursday & Friday from 5:00 pm to sunset. Riding Fees are $10.00/day or
$100.00 per season for adults. Under 16 years old the fees are $5.00 per day or
$50.00 per season.

Special Olympics Manitoba

Fall 2020 Update: Due to COVID-19, our programming has been put on pause.
Decisions on a safe return to play will be reassessed in 2021.

Special Olympics offers child and youth programs designed to help children with
an intellectual disability develop basic motor and sport skills through fun and
positive movement experiences. Special Olympics promotes opportunities to
develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, enhance skills and
create friendships.

FUNdamentals (ages 7-12*)- A continuation of the Active Start program for
young athletes with an intellectual disability ages 7 to 12. This program
transitions from basic movement skills to basic sport and physical literacy skills
while maintaining an atmosphere of fun and meaningful interaction.
* Children outside of the FUNdamentals age range will try to be accommodated
as best as possible and you are encouraged to contact Courtney with any inquires
and/or questions.

South Central Youth Soccer

Volunteer based youth soccer program. It runs in May and June with mixed
teams. The program involves travel to Elm Creek, Notre Dame, Winkler, Carman,
Altona, Miami
