Idylically situated between the Côte de Granite Rose and the Côte
Sauvage, Locquirec is one of Brittany's best preserved port
villages. There you will find the Grand Hôtel des Bains, a stylish,
classic hotel, with all the comforts of a modern renovation
programme. Our elegant rooms are decorated in a New England
style, echoing the calm and restful colours of the beautiful
maritime scenery that surrounds us. The majority of our rooms
have a view directly onto the sea and our private garden, and most
have either a balcony or a large private terrace..

A world away from crowds, noise and pollution, the hotel stands on
a small peninsula with stunning sea views. The hotel is located in
the tranquil and picturesque fishing town of Locquirec, bordering
on the Finistère and Cote d’Armor regions of Brittany. This coast is
amongst the most beautiful and unspoilt in France, boasting a
string of long, sweeping sandy beaches.
Excellence of service and delicious food combine with the inspiring
location, salt water swimming pool (heated all year) and spa to
provide an utterly peaceful atmosphere and an unforgettable
holiday year round.
ROOMS AND SUITES
OUR ROOMS
The hotel was built at the beginning of the 20th century, and its beautiful
grounds and private beach were the setting of the famous French comedy:
"L’Hotel de la Plage". Dominique van Lier, the current owner introduced the
classic New England décor which has been featured in a number of French
style magazines.
The view of the sea from the bedrooms, restaurant and the hotel park
constantly changes with the tide, light, weather and seasons, but is always
enchanting. The spacious terrace is a perfect place to watch the boats
exploring Locquirec bay. At high tide the sea laps the lime tree alley in the
garden, and at low tide the rocks appear and it is possible to cross the bay
by foot.
Rooms with a view
The hotel's bedrooms all have private bathrooms and plasma televisions,
and most have a mesmerising sea view. All the sea view first floor rooms
have large terraces and the sea view second floor rooms have balconies.
The hotel has wi-fi access throughout, including in the bedrooms and
garden.
All our bedrooms are non-smoking.

Our spacious dining room is a place to dream with large bay windows
overlooking the garden and sea. Fortunately the excellent food and service
will remind you that a stay at the Grand Hotel is a feast for all the senses!
Before or after dinner you can relax and enjoy a drink in our cosy bar,

We also have a Brasserie in the harbour where many of our clients enjoy
lunch just footsteps from the beach.
RELAXATION & SPA
CONCEPT & PHILOSOPHIE
The Grand Hôtel des Bains’s latest development is our new spa. Completed
at the beginning of 2010, visit the gallery to view this stylish space with its
discreet, distinctive luxurious style. In keeping with the hotel's acclaimed
individual interior design, maximising the use of light and view of the sea and
equipped with the latest in marine spa equipment.
Hydrotherapy body and beauty treatments.OURS TREATMENTS
The spa comprises five new treatment rooms, all with private showers and
two with hydrotherapy baths. There is also a "douche à infusion" where
you can be massaged under a relaxing spray of warm water and a "douche
à jet", a high pressure jet treatment for toning and back relaxation.
Our spa is open daily, with a range of treatments, including beauty
treatments such as manicures, pedicures and facials, using the Pevonia
brand, as well as a full range of massages and thalassotherapy treatments.
These focus on the toning and detoxifying properties of algae and mud
products.
We offer special packages, including a spa week promotion and
"Cocooning" package. We advise you to book early for treatments. For

SWIMMING POOL AND FITNESS CENTRE
Amongst our facilities you can enjoy are our 18 meter, heated (to 29°C),
salt water swimming pool which is open every day and offers a beautiful
view of the sea to inspire you whilst swimming. We also have a steam
room, sauna and fitness centre with the latest Technogym equipment.

Many guests rarely leave the charm of the hotel and its magical setting, however the charming village of Locquirec also has plenty of activities available. including stunning coastal walks from our very door. There are innumerable beautiful walks from the hotel, starting with the exceptionally beautiful Coastguard's route which could take you uninterrupted the length of the Côte Sauvage and the Côte de Granit Rose. The scentery is truly breathtaking, from deserted sandy beaches to stunning clifftop viewpoints. Beautiful, historic Brittany: beaches, castles and churches The Breton region has a wonderful history, full of castles, churches and numerous religious buildings and cloisters to visit. There are no less than nine stunning sandy banches in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. For the sportier guest, Locquirec itself has an excellent sailing and diving school, There are also bicycles and sea kayaks for hire and the possibility of various different boat trips from the port, minutes from the hotel. AccessLe Grand Hotel des Bains lies at the border of the Finistere
and Cotes d’Armor regions of Brittany, where the Cote Sauvage
meets the Cote Granite Rose. The hotel can be accessed in a
number of ways:
PLANE: Local airports include: Morlaix (20 mins), Lannion (25
mins), Brest (45’) (45 mins) and Dinard (90 mins) all of which are
served by a variety of carriers from a range of British and French
airports.
FERRY: Brittany Ferries run daily from Plymouth to Roscoff (30
mins) or Portsmouth to St Malo (2 hours).
TRAIN: The TGV runs to Morlaix (20 mins), 4 hours from Paris.
