In August, the Downers Grove Park District
received a $5,000 ComEd Green Region
Grant to convert the Doerhoefer and
Whitlock Park detention basins into native
vegetation. The project helps to eliminate
mowing, provides an enhanced habitat for
pollinators, creates improved water quality
and introduces educational opportunities.

Men’s 2020 Winter Basketball League
The men’s basketball league is for players who want to participate in a traditional open-paced league. Each team plays
at least 10 games on Monday or Tuesday nights. A single-elimination playoff follows the regular season for the top
seeds in each league. League play is governed by I.H.S.A. rules and regulations with local exceptions adopted.
