The Champaign Parks Foundation Board of Directors is looking for
enthusiastic community members to fill three vacancies on our board.
Volunteer board members help raise money to support the park district’s
parks and programs including the Virginia Theatre and the Youth Scholarship
Program. Through active, hands-on involvement in fundraising, like
coordinating special events, members have an opportunity to be a part of
an award-winning park district that makes a huge difference in the lives of
Champaign residents.

If you would like to become involved or would like more information, please
contact Laura Auteberry at laura.auteberry@champaignparks.org. Applicants
do not have to be Champaign residents to apply, just able to attend monthly
meetings (second Monday of the month, 4pm) and willing to actively raise
funds on behalf of the Champaign Park District.

We hope to hear from you soon! More info: champaignparks.org/foundation

  LEONHARD SUMMER YOUTH PROGRAM
  Ages 6-12
SYP at Leonhard keeps kids physically and mentally active. Children will make new friends,
experience new things, and have an unforgettable summer of fun. Activities will be based
around weekly themes while building self-esteem, developing interpersonal skills, and making
lasting memories. Leonhard staff and kids strive to be kind, honest, and helpful.
Each child should bring a nut-free fully disposable lunch; no reusable dishware, except for
refillable water bottles, will be allowed in the facility. Morning and afternoon snack will be
provided by Champaign-Urbana Public Health District. COVID-19 guidelines will be enforced
  and followed.
Is Leonhard SYP swimming? Yes, in some capacity we will swim at Sholem Aquatic Center.
Is Leonhard SYP taking field trips? Pending COVID-19 restrictions. We will also be bringing
  some field trips to US!
