Beta Club Induction
On Wednesday, May 22nd, new members and officers were inducted into the
Junior Beta Club, St Francis Borgia, School Charter. This club stresses the
importance of service and good character. To become members, students must
maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or better and attend all scheduled
meetings. In addition to participating in all Junior Beta Club service projects,
each member must also complete two service projects per month on his or her
own time. Good character is also a must. Students must be honest,
understanding, trustworthy, and respectful towards themselves and others. We
are fortunate to have students that carry Jesus’s message of compassion to
others within our S.F.B. school community. Well done and
Congratulations!

Pentecost Voice LIGHTS
The Holy Spirit, who came on Pentecost, gave voice to
the apostles to proclaim the truth of the Gospel. The Health & Blessings for
Spirit, the Soul of the Church, continues to enable the Mary Ann Trenker
Church to speak and enables us to speak in our individual Consider honoring a loved one,
capacity. As Cardinal Elio Sgreccia, President Emeritus living or deceased,
of the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy for Life has by Lighting
said, “The Church must speak out in today's context on
fundamental rights, the right to justice, the right to peace,
a Tabernacle Candle (Church,
but above all and in the first place, the right to life. If the Adoration Chapel or Chapel)
Church did not speak, did not proclaim the truth, it would
be abandoning its duty; it would be unfaithful to society,
to the good of society. Therefore, its precise duty is the “WHERE THERE IS DARKNESS”
very liberty to intervene with word, and also with is an inspiring movie about Fr. Rene Robert,
example -- the example of promoting human life, of a Catholic priest. Fr. Rene ministered with
intervening for the salvation of mankind." the deaf for many years. Fr. Joe Mulcrone
knew him quite well. Fr. Rene was
murdered several years ago, trying to help a
young man get his life back. There is a
beautiful movie about Fr. Rene's life and
message of forgiveness. Monday, June 17th,
