Community College Scholarship

towards a certificate, diploma, or degree at the associate’s level or a first-time bachelor’s

Note: You will need to call or visit these organizations to request information on their
scholarships.

When is the FAFSA Due: I hope this information clarifies some of this confusion for
you, because I fully understand how confusing this area can be. First, many
colleges/universities have their own priority dates for submitting the FAFSA to them (for
example ENMU); the best way you have of determining those dates is to contact
the college/university directly. Second, you have until 9/30/20 to submit an original FAFSA
for the 2020-2021 academic year. The opening date to start submitting FAFSAs for the 2021-
2022 school year is October 1, 2020. If you did submit a FAFSA for the 2019-2020 school
year, then the date to start renewing those applications for the 2020-2021 school year is also
October 1, 2020.

New Mexico Lottery Scholarship. There is NO separate application for the New Mexico
Lottery Scholarship. Your FAFSA application serves as an application for that
purpose. Information on the FAFSA is what colleges/universities use to determine students'
financial need. If you have any further questions, please call me or send me an email
expressing your concerns.
