STUDENT SESSION INFO
Students who are submitting sponsorship request forms for half of their registration to be paid are required to attend the student sessions.
Friday, 9/24 - 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. - How to Prepare for Life after Passing the CSR
What can students expect just after they graduate? How should you act as a new CSR? What are some ethics
challenges new reporters could face? We hope to have a member of the FORCE committee speak more to
students about preparing for life after becoming a CSR and have two fearless CSRs demonstrate a comedic skit on
what a professional reporter and not so professional reporter would handle walking into a depo.

Speed Dating
Speed dating with speed contest winners! Students will rotate through to hear from the speeders on how they do
what they do.

                                              STUDENT SPONSORSHIP CRITERIA
Fill out the request form completely and submit no later than July 15, 2021. Form and guidelines for how sponsorships are
awarded here. Form can also be downloaded from the Convention page of the TCRA website: www.tcra-online.com

Students will be notified via email if they have been sponsored no later than July 31, 2021. If you are sponsored and unable to
attend, it is your responsibility to contact TCRA immediately. This allows us to open up the spot to another deserving student. By
being a no-show, you prevent another student from attending, and you may be required to reimburse the donated portion of
your registration fee.

             If attending as a sponsored student, you will be emailed in August to sign up for volunteer times.

4. Students requesting sponsorship must fulfill a 2-hour volunteer time-slot (volunteer sign-ups will be sent out in August);
4. Students requesting sponsorship must pay 50% of their $350 registration fee, the student’s portion being $175;
5. Sponsored students will be required to attend the full convention from September 23-25, 2021, as well as the student sessions.
Sponsorships are not available for one-day only attendance;
6. All students will be provided a punch card that is required to be turned in at the end of the convention. Students must attend
at least 10.0 hours of courses and submit their punch card as attendance proof at the close of Convention in order to receive
their complimentary membership;
7. Failure by any student to account for their time at convention during the sessions will constitute ineligibility to apply for financial
assistance for any TCRA Convention for two years;
8. TCRA does not cover or orchestrate any hotel or travel arrangements, you are entirely responsible for those plans and costs
yourself;
9. Payment will be run through the method you provide below upon receiving a matching sponsorship.
