         New Small Group Parenting Class Starting!
 This 8-session series will be facilitated by Brian & Kelly Fill for those interested in
 the topic of Christian Parenting. The program has been assembled by Family Life
 Ministry and will include watch-at-home movies with worksheets. Our sessions
 together will consist of reflecting, discussing, learning and growing in faith as we
 discuss the task of parenting within a Christian context.
 Per the maker's of the program: "Family Life's Art of Parenting will help parents find
 new ways to integrate faith into everyday parenting moments. Parents will end the
 eight sessions with renewed confidence, fresh insights on parenting children of
 different ages, and a parenting plan unique to each child’s personality and gifting."
 Our 8 sessions will take place 1-2 times per month during the Sunday School hour
 (9:45-10:30ish). Small children that are too young to attend Sunday School are
 welcome to accompany you. This group is appropriate for couples, singles or
 anyone interested in becoming the parent God intends you to be.

  Greetings

* Call to Worship (Psalm 139—Selected Verses)
  O Lord, you search for us and know us.
  You know when we sit down and when we rise up.
  You discern our thoughts from far away.
  You are acquainted with all our ways.
  Even before a word is on our tongues,
  O Lord, you know it completely.
  Let us worship the God who love us and has chosen us!
* Invocation
* Hymn No. 447 Lead On, O King Eternal

* Call to Confession
* Prayer of Confession
  Heavenly Father, we are here because you have chosen to
  touch our lives with your love. Yet, we sometimes find it hard
  to choose you. We face so many decisions in our lives — big,
  little, and in-between. Sometimes, we are overwhelmed. Often,
  we are distracted. Usually, we are tired. We don’t always
  recognize opportunities to serve you, to share your love or to
  use our gifts for your glory. Forgive us when we make
  decisions based on selfish desires. Forgive us when we
  choose to judge rather than listen. Forgive us when we ignore
  or neglect our faith. Remind us who we are and whose we are
  — your beloved children. Strengthen and renew us by the
  power of your Holy Spirit so that our decisions bear witness
  to your claim on our lives. May we live as your chosen people
  — sincere and devoted followers of Jesus Christ, your Son,
  our Lord, in whose name we pray…
