By enrolling in classes at New Mexico State University (NMSU), a student makes a financial commitment to pay the tuition and fee charges

New Payment Plan
PAYING FOR A COLLEGE EDUCATION IS ONE OF THE FIRST MAJOR FINANCIAL DECISIONS A STUDENT WILL
 MAKE.
The payment plan has scheduled payment installments designed to help a student manage the costs and pay balances by
 the end of the semester.
o Students will be required to enroll in the payment plan when the current semester outstanding balance is
                    $200 or more.
o Each payment plan is semester-specific.
o Payment plans will only be available to students enrolled in the current semester.

For the Spring 2021 semester, payment plan enrollment opens on December 16, 2020.
o The deadline for enrolling in the payment plan is January 31, 2021.
       o There will be a non-refundable, $25 application fee.
o Fall and Spring semester payment plans will have five payments and the Summer semester plan will have
                    three payments.
               ▪ The first payment will be due at the time of enrollment
o The remaining payments will be due by the 15th of each month.
o There will be a $10 fee charged to a student’s account for each late, partial or missed payment.
o Payment amounts are subject to change if any charges or credits post after enrolling in the Payment Plan.
o A student cannot have a prior semester balance of $2,500 or more.

o To avoid dis-enrollment students must:
                ▪ have a prior balance of less than $2500
