 ***IMPORTANT SAFTEY NOTE REGARDING
        STUDENT PICK UP, PLEASE READ***

* Once the performance begins, the only people who will be permitted

BACKSTAGE, in the DRESSING ROOMS OR in the MEZZANINE AREA

are Centre Stage Employees, and J’adore DANCE faculty / Parent Volunteers.

* These cleared individuals will have Backstage lanyards to identify them.

* Please, respect and abide by this policy. We put this policy in to place not to
inconvenience anyone but to ensure your dancers are safe and accounted for. The
Centre Stage staff and our hired security will not permit anyone through to the
  children without a lanyard.

J’adore DANCE wants ALL parents sitting in the theatre to enjoy the show
knowing that their dancer is safe in our hands. Please remember, once you turn
over your precious dancer to us, they are our responsibility. We take that
responsibility very seriously. No one would want our security team letting just
“anyone” backstage while the show is in progress. So again, your support for our
policies is greatly appreciated.

Costumes
Costume Fittings:
During the month of May, we will begin emailing each class individually to
inform you of your costume fitting day. The fitting will happen during the last
20 minutes of class on the scheduled “fitting day”. Costumes will go home
with all dancers this day.

Sizing/Alterations:
Costumes are NOT custom ordered to fit each dancer specifically. The office
staff has taken each of the dancers measurements in class during the
beginning of March.

If you feel your dancer’s costume needs any alterations, you are responsible
for handling any alterations. Please do not alter the costume in anyway that
changes the overall look or fit of the costume. We will need all of the dancers
to appear uniformed on the day of the show.

Tights / Shoes: Information about tights and shoes will be handed out
during costume distribution.

Costumes are NON-REFUNDABLE and cannot be exchanged

**Costumes will not be sent out to anyone with an outstanding
balance, unless previously scheduled for auto-pay with J’adore**

                                    Page 21
* Please do not allow your dancer to play or dance in his/her costume
  until after the Spring Gala

* Hang costumes in a steamy bathroom or use a steamer to get any
  wrinkles out of costume material.

* Do not try and wash or iron your costume.

* Please label your costume and any costume pieces with your dancer’s
  name

* Store your costume in a garment bag; hanging up

                         Undergarments
* If your dancer’s costume requires tights, please have them wear their tights
WITHOUT underwear. Tights are designed to be worn, solo against skin.

* If your dancer’s costume does not require tights, please make sure they
wear underwear that is neutral in color and is hidden from appearing
outside of their costume lines. Some costumes will not require underwear
  at all.

* For dancers who need an under garment up top, please accompany your
costume with a nude/flesh tone seamless or dance-wear bra. These can be
found on websites such as discountdance.com, dancewearsolutions.com,
Pointe Dance Boutique, Target, Justice, and or Kohls.

Make up / Hair / Jewelry
HAIR: ALL Hair will be in a bun for the entire show with the
exception of Hip Hop classes.

** Hip Hop Classes: LOW Ponytail**
We are asking that your hair be in a high; slick “no fly-always” bun or pony according to
the above specifics. Be sure to use lots of hair spray, and as many hair-pins/bobbi pins as
you need. For some of you, hair needs to last through two shows, so the more secure the
better!

MAKE-UP: Make-up needs to be “stage ready”

Youth Program dancers: Please have your dancers wear a little foundation/
powder, blush, mascara, and some light neutral eye shadow. Please stay in the
natural color pallet of Earth tones (no 80’s red, blues, or purples).

ATP / Mini / Tween/ Teen / Company dancers: Your make-up should “pop”, so
please be sure to use foundations, blush, eye shadow, liner, mascara, and a lip
color. This make-up should be more than you wear on a daily basis. Stick with an
earth tone pallet that incorporates darker eye shadow colors, and uses a light
cream or white as a highlighter for eyebrows, etc. Bronzer and plum shades
should highlight cheeks. Matte finish berry lipstick for lips!

JEWELRY: ALL dancers should wear rhinestone stud earrings for
the show if their ears are pierced (this is not required for youth classes).
Do not add additional jewelry or hair accessories to your dancer that
are not a part of the costume.

Dressing Room
Dressing Rooms are provided as a courtesy to our performers. Dancers
are “guests” at the Carpenter Theatre and should treat the space they are
using with respect. Please talk to your dancer about the rules for using
the dressing room:

Rules for the Dressing Room:
* No food or beverages in the dressing areas. A kitchen area is available to store

  and enjoy drinks and snacks

* No running, horseplay or rough housing

* Dancers will not be allowed to enter and exit the dressing rooms unless they are

  going backstage

* All trash and belongs need to be cleaned up in order to leave the area BETTER

  than we found it

                                      Page 24
Quick Changes
A mock dressing area will be provided backstage on both the RIGHT and LEFT

side of the stage for dancers who have quick changes. “Quick Changes” are

costume changes that happen less than 10 numbers a part. Dancers will need to

bring their costume to change in to, to the “Quick Change Area” backstage before

the show begins.

(Quick Change Notes Continued)

Dancers are responsible for picking up all of the costumes and costume pieces

before leaving the backstage area.

We will need volunteers who are responsible for both Stage R and Stage L Quick

Change Areas. If your dancer has a quick change and you are concerned about him/

her being able to change in time; we suggest volunteering for this position. For

more information about Volunteering for the “Quick Change” position or any other

volunteer slot , please email info@jadoredancestudio.com.

Audience Etiquette
           ABSOLUTELY NO PICTURES OR VIDEO
will be permitted by audience members!
The Ushers at the Carpenter Theatre take this very seriously as does the faculty of
J’adore DANCE. Our ushers will be looking for recording devices and instruct you
to stop recording during the show in the event devices are being used. Professional
Photo and Videos will be taken on the day of the show and are available for
purchase. Order forms for Video and Action Photos are attached to this packet.

These young dancers have worked extremely hard all year and
deserve your respect and undivided attention. Please make sure you
are familiar with the following:

-No talking. If something must be said, whisper it quietly as this can be
distracting to other audience members.
-Noises off. Turn off cell phones, beepers, audible watches, and any
other sound- making gadgets before the performance.
-Lights out. Don’t forget, the screen on your mobile device can be a
distraction too.
-If you must exit the theatre during the performance, you must wait until
the number on the stage is finished. Try exiting between Chapters if you
can. The theatre doors will only open briefly between chapters and at
Intermission. If you do leave, you will only be permitted back in at the
end of a Chapter.

-Applause!!! Please applause and cheer with enthusiasm for all
dancers on the stage. Every one of the young ladies and gentleman
performing deserves praise and celebration for their hard work.
