    OVERVIEW
    The Point of Sale (POS) is the area of a
    shop where customers pay for the
    items they purchase. Retail POS
    software is a system that records
    financial transactions. It is used in both
    electric cash registers and integrated
    computer platforms that record the
    data of transactions for the sale of
    services or goods.

    A POS System is the software and
    hardware utilized to record a retail
    store’s financial transactions. It is an
    ideal solution for store owners to
    manage and analyze their business. A
    POS system can be basic free software
    that can work on any PC, web-based
    tools like Square or QuickBooks, and
    fully integrated platforms with mobile
    POS features like those utilized in
    Apple stores. The key for all these POS
    applications is the data they generate
    to help you operate a profitable
    venture.
