                                             Welcome...
Wycombe Museum is located in Castle Hill House
and Gardens. A hidden gem in a calm oasis,
a few minutes’ walk from the town centre.
Popularly known as the Chair Museum,
Wycombe Museum is one of High Wycombe’s
                                                  most unusual wedding venues.
The Museum has focused over the years on local
                                           craftsmanship, specifically the famous furniture
and chair industry of the region, alongside an
impressive art collection and the local history.
The site is a scheduled Ancient Monument,
and the House is a Grade II listed building,
The oldest parts dating from the late 1600s.
Archaeological discoveries indicate that the site
has been lived on since the early Middle Ages,
originally as a Saxon Farm. An Anglo-Saxon burial
site was discovered in 1901 near the main gate.
Wycombe Museum is licensed to hold Marriage
                                                and Civil Partnership Ceremonies.
By choosing Wycombe Museum for your special day
you are making a valuable contribution to the heritage

                                                         of this beautiful site.
