MENTAL HEALTH Away from the golf course, I am concerned with the effects that Lockdown is having on some of our people. Especially when I see the amount of alcohol being purchased has increased by 400% plus, and the effects on family violence This along with loneliness, boredom and lack of social connection is a recipe for issues, now and down the track. Can I please ask you to keep close to your family and club members you may know who would love to hear from you. You never know, your phone call just might brighten up their day. I try to live my life so that I only need three “somethings”: Something to do (keep busy during the day with jobs, soduku, crosswords etc) Something to look forward to (have something planned for each day that you look forward to) Something to love (have something to love family, animals, golf etc) Thanks for your support and I hope we can get back to opening our golf course and community centre soon.
