The wait is finally over. The 2019 matric results are out and a number of public high schools in Tembisa performed ex-
ceptionally well, reaching a 90% pass rate.
Even though the Gauteng province’s pass rate dropped from 87.9% to 87.2%, it remained on the second position na-
tionally, with high schools such as Ivory Park, Tembisa and Winnie Mandela contributing to the province’s dominance.
Ivory Park Secondary School achieved an impressive 96.2%, an improvement from 95.6% in 2018.
