Have you received a scam message recently? Scams are on the rise so its never been
more important to know how to spot a scam if it targets you. We've prepared some tips
so you don't get caught out. A FREE information session, hosted by Community Bank
Wentworth & District, about ways to prevent being scammed. Tea & Coffee will be
provided. RSVP essential. Please let us know you are attending by contacting Bec in

'FISHING' AND 'YABBIE' COMPETITION & 'YABBIE RACE'
Fort Courage Caravan Park, 1703 Renmark Road, Wentworth
Sunrise - 4pm
Bookings for the evening meal before the Wednesday afternoon
prior will be appreciated for catering purposes. Fishing
registrations are taken at the office; cost is $12 for members, $14
for non-members and children U12 FREE. The price includes the
Saturday night meal. Meat trays and raffles to be won. Normal
rules for the fishing competition apply and prize categories. The YABBIE COMPETITION Rules - Open to everyone, nets can
be placed anywhere (in the water will work best). Weigh In closes at 4pm. Prizes awarded to, The longest yabbie and The
biggest claw for each section Juniors, Ladies & Men. After weigh in there will be the Inaugural Fort Courage Yabbie Race!
Each entrant will select their best Yabbie. These will be placed in a bucket (after a racing number is applied to back of the
yabbie) the bucket will be placed upside down in the middle of a 3 metre circle. When the bucket is lifted the winner is the
first yabbie across the circle. Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places. The fishing competition and yabbie competition are covered
under the one fishing competition entry fee. You can do both competitions or just one, your choice. You do need a
recreational fishing licence to catch yabbies (available at the Office). Also check your nets to ensure they are legal as the
rules have changed. Visit www.dpi.nsw.gov.au. It's a great night out with family and friends so come along and enjoy the
fantastic company. See you there! Camping is available.

WENTY FISHING COMP
Junction Park, Cadell Street, Wentworth
8am - 3pm
Our 1st fishing comp for the year. Our club is based at Junction Park
at Wentworth. Our fishing comps are held on the last Saturday of the
month from 8am to 3pm. (unless otherwise stated) Early birds can start
at sun up if they have registered prior to this day. Registrations are
from 8am on the day. Fishing can be in the Murray from Dareton to
Fort Courage and the Darling up to Pomona. Fish must be measured by 3pm. Presentations are at 3.30pm along with Meat
raffles. Merchandise is always made available at each comp. We are a family friendly club, trying to encourage our local
families to have a fun day. Entry fee is $5 members $7 non-member. Juniors (15yrs & under) are $2 or free for Members.
This also enters you into the lucky draw to win $50 cash for Seniors & $25 BCF voucher for the Juniors
We have Seniors and Juniors 15 & under. Prizes for the biggest Cod, Perch & carp in both Seniors & Juniors. Fish are
measured by length, not weight and must be legal sizes. A $200 mystery cash prize makes the day even more exciting.
If you are a member of our club, you also go into a Members draw at each comp to win: Seniors $25 meal voucher from the
Royal Hotel. Juniors $25 BCF voucher. Memberships are $10 for adults and $5 for kids. We also have a social page on FB,
which has all the info about our club and comps.
