16:30 - 17:00 Latest Innovations - Conformal Vortex Generator Fuel Efficiency Modification
Edge Aerodynamix provide us with an update on their Conformal Vortex Generator (CVG) made from
   INNOVATION
elastomeric adhesive backed film. The film is applied to the leading edge slat on the wing and restructures the
FUEL flow of air over the wing, creating a highly stable layer of vortices that increase the amount of attached flow.
As a result, the CVG reduces the amount of drag the aircraft experiences leading to better aircraft performance,
significant fuel savings and reduction in carbon emissions. The presentation focuses on key tests on a B737
and the recently completed FAA certification - you will also learn about future developments such as tests
                   beginning on an A340-600.
