I wanted to change career and do something more purposeful and I always wanted

TAFE is that we get the chance to get out in the field and use the equipment that

I would definitely recommend studying Wall and Floor Tiling at North Metropolitan
TAFE to others. As part of the course you have to accumulate many work experience
hours so I’ve worked for several tilers now. It’s allowed me to establish where I best
                                  fit into the tile trade.

I highly recommend studying the Diploma of Human Resources Management
at North Metro TAFE, because I believe the lecturers provide an excellent and
supportive learning experience, that is often drawn from their own industry
experience. I feel by the end of this course, I will have the skills and knowledge
that the industry does desire, and the simulated work environment and practical

I started studying this course last year and I was lucky enough to win the silver
medal for the Worlds Skill challenge. The best thing about studying at NMTAFE
would be the facilities and the lecturers. The best thing about jewellery would be
the self-accomplishment you receive from it, spending eight to ten hours on a ring
and then finally finishing it, feels really good.

Just before I finished my diploma TAFE informed me about a company that was
offering a job as a Junior Structural Drafter and I applied for that job. In October
last year, I got informed that I got that position.

I was influenced by my dad who was a hairdresser, seeing his passion for the
industry was something that I admired. TAFE has encouraged me to persue any
kind of achievement such as putting myself out there for competitions. Last year I
won the People Choice Awards in WA International Hair Stylist Society Competition.
That was a real humbling achievement.
