GRADUATION DATE AND PRACTICE SCHEDULE

• Day 1: Tuesday, June 12, 2018

• 8:45 a.m. - Commencement Rehearsal
     10-12th Grade Center Gymnasium
• Be available for the entire school day. If
  practice is rained out in the morning, it will be
  held at 1:00 p.m.

  – Arrival time for seniors is 6:00 pm

• All students should report to the 9th Grade
  Center by 6:00 p.m.
• Please enter at Door #1 at the 9th Grade
  Center.
• Females should report to the 9th Grade
  Center Gym.
• Males should report to the 9th Grade Center
  Cafeteria.

• All students should report to the 10-12th
  Grade Center by 6:00 p.m.
• Please check in at Door #14 at the 10-12th
  Grade Center.
• Females should report to the lower level of
  the senior wing.
• Males should report to the upper level of the
  senior wing.

ATTIRE FOR FEMALES

• White shoes or white dress sandals
      (NO sneakers, boots, slippers, or flip flops)

• White dress, white skirt and white blouse, or white
  capri pants and white blouse. No LONG pants worn
  under gown.

• The outfit must be all white
      NO colored prints or patterns under the gown.
The outfit must not extend beyond the graduation gown.

  room 276 before graduation.
SPECIAL SEATING
• If any of your guests will be in a wheelchair or
  in need of other assistance, please complete a
  special seating request form (orange form in
  your packet) and submit it to the 12th grade
  office or room 276 by May 18, 2018. This
  form and any other graduation-related forms
  can be located on the high school website.
TICKETS
Each graduate will receive 6 graduation tickets
on the day of graduation practice.
● 2 tickets will allow access to Coach McNelly Stadium
  (outdoor ceremony) OR High School Gymnasium (indoor
  ceremony)
● ·2 tickets will allow access to Coach McNelly Stadium
  (outdoor ceremony) OR High School Auditorium, Cafeteria,
  Hurda Learning Center (indoor ceremony)
● ·2 tickets will allow access to Coach McNelly Stadium
  ONLY (outdoor ceremony.) These tickets will NOT allow
  access to an indoor ceremony.
Tickets
● Seating is first come, first served.
  Gates/doors open at 6:00 pm.
● All financial and other obligations must
  be satisfied, or participation in
  commencement will be denied.
Extra Tickets
● Extra tickets will be distributed after
  graduation rehearsal has concluded.
● The number of extra tickets allowed has
  not been determined yet.
● Extra tickets will not be valid for an indoor
  ceremony. Only the 4 tickets designated
  for an indoor ceremony will be allowed to
  enter designated places in the school.
OBLIGATIONS
• All financial and other obligations must
  be satisfied, or participation in
  commencement will be denied.
• You will not receive your cap and gown
  if you have not satisfied your
  obligations.
Commencement Participation Form

• You must turn in this form! It is mandatory,
  even if you are not going to participate in the
  ceremony!
• The form is due to room 276 or the 12th grade
  office by April 27, 2018!
• If this form is not turned in by April 27th, you
  will not be able to participate in the
  graduation ceremony.
Honor Students
HONOR STUDENTS: After the end-of-the-year
final exams, cumulative grade point averages
(GPA) are calculated and honor roll status is
determined. Those students with a final GPA of
90.0% through 94.9% are designated as Honor
students. Those with a GPA of 95.0% and above
are designated as Distinguished Honor students.
Honor students will wear gold honor cords and
Distinguished Honor students will wear blue and
gold honor cords at commencement.
  GPAs are NOT rounded!!!!!!

AP Final Exam Exemption
Any student taking an Advanced Placement (AP) course will have the
opportunity to be exempt from taking the final exam in that AP
course(s) if they meet the following criteria. If all of the criteria are not
met, the student is expected to take the final exam at the scheduled
time.
· Student must earn an 80% or higher grade in each of the four marking periods in that subject.
· Student must take the AP exam.
· Midterm exam grade cannot be less than 80%.
· Note: Students in AP courses who choose not to take the AP standardized exam will be
required to take the final exam.
  They may not seek exemption based on the non-AP course guidelines.
· Student must ask teacher for an exemption no later than one week prior to the schedule exam
date.
· Teacher must approve student’s final exam exemption.
· Parents/guardians must sign, approving their child’s final exam exemption.
· Student must submit the below request for exemption form with all signatures to the
classroom teacher.
Non AP Final Exam Exemption
Any senior student will have the opportunity to be exempt from
taking the final exam in a course if they meet the following
criteria. If all of the criteria are not met, the student is expected
to take the final exam at the scheduled time.
· Student must maintain a 90% or better marking period grade in each of
the four marking periods in that subject.
· Mid-term exam grade cannot be less than 90%.
· Student must ask teacher for an exemption no later than one week prior
to the scheduled exam date.
· Teacher must approve that student’s final exam exemption.
· Parents/guardians must sign, approving their child’s final exam
exemption.
·Student must submit the below request for exemption form with all
signatures to the classroom teacher.
