As the Birthplace of America’s Music,

the golf scene. Exciting and varied, it reflects
regional influences. Mississippi has been
instrumental in the birth, growth and popularity

famous musical son, Elvis Presley. These
musical styles are truly Mississippi made and
reflected in the Mississippi Blues Trail and
Country Music Trail. The song lyrics tell our story,
while the beats, rhythms and melodies reflect
our diverse heritage.

Mississippi Writers Trail. The first marker was
unveiled September 2018 at Eudora Welty’s
