2021 Rental Information
Daytime Rentals
Monday – Friday · 9AM – 5PM
BOARDROOM · $800 per day
o Includes boardroom tables and chairs (Seats 20)
o Includes use of standard AV (84” monitor, podium)
*Aquarium and IMAX tickets available upon request for an additional charge
LUPTON ROOM · $30 per person ($2,000 minimum fee)
o 3,000+ square feet of event space that can accommodate 200 guests at
seated rounds or auditorium style
o Includes access to both Aquarium buildings for guests on day of rental
o Table/chair/linen costs are additional
o Includes use of standard AV (84” monitor, podium, microphone)
*The Lupton Room is also available after 5PM as part of the River Journey package

River Journey & Ocean Journey
With Aquarium building rentals, events can be hosted in galleries and guests can tour
with food and drink in hand. Tables/chairs, linens, bar, and food are additional costs.
The Aquarium will provide a quote for tables/chairs, linens and bar based upon guest
count and setup needs. Catering costs are also an additional cost.
Saturdays are considered premium days and require full Aquarium rental.
RIVER JOURNEY Building · $2,500 rental fee for up to 100 guests
Additional guests over 100: $18 per person
o Accommodates up to 300 for a seated dinner or 500 reception-style.
o Includes Lupton Room, lobby and outdoor pavilion event spaces
o Also includes exhibit access to River Journey for all guests
OCEAN JOURNEY Building · $2,000 rental fee for up to 100 guests
Additional guests over 100: $15 per person
o Accommodates up to 50 for a seated dinner or more than 200 reception-style
o Includes exhibit access to Ocean Journey for all guests
Full Aquarium · $3,750 rental fee for up to 100 guests
Additional guests over 100: $26 per person
o Full Aquarium rental accommodates guests from
50 - 1,500 guests
o Includes full exhibit access to both
River Journey and Ocean Journey for all guests
o Includes Lupton Room and the outdoor pavilion
event spaces

IMAX® Great Hall & Theater
With Aquarium building rentals, events can be hosted in
galleries and guests can tour with food and drink in hand.

IMAX® GREAT HALL & THEATER

2,000 rental fee for up to 100 guests
Additional guests over 100: $10 per person
o Great Hall accommodates 200 for a seated dinner or
300 reception-style. Theater capacity is 350
o Includes private screening of 45-minute IMAX film and
access to the IMAX Garden
o Additional fees may apply to Thursday-Sunday IMAX
rentals, based on current film schedule and/or number
of public shows that would need to be blocked

Event Reservation
A tentative hold for an event date can be placed for a maximum of 7 business days. If another inquiry is
made for during the 7-day hold, you will receive first right of refusal. Following the 7 business days, the
tentative hold will be automatically removed without notification. To finalize and reserve a date, clients are
required to return a signed contract and event deposit. Both the contract and deposit are due within 10
business days. Deposits are non-refundable. If the contract and deposit are not returned by the due date,
the Aquarium reserves the right to immediately release the date and/or require a new contract to be issued.

Rental Timeframes & Extensions
Standard event rentals are limited to three hours. Events may begin as early as 5PM or as late as 7PM, based
on availability. If rental time is extended, it must be pre-approved by the Aquarium in writing at a minimum
of seven days before the event, and additional rental fees will apply.
Wedding Requirements
The Aquarium requires all wedding events (ceremonies, receptions, etc.) to be managed by a wedding
coordinator. Rehearsal dinners are excluded from this clause. The wedding coordinator must be associated
with a licensed wedding planning business and must be approved by the Aquarium. The Aquarium requires
written confirmation that the wedding coordinator has been secured before a contract will be issued.

The Tennessee Aquarium retains the Lass & Lions Vodka

finalized no less than 14 days prior to the event. Wine
