General Information North Sea Regatta
Parking
Around the race village there is limited parking space available. We urgently request
participants and visitors to carpool as much as possible. To prevent towing of incorrectly
parked vehicles or parking fines please be mindful that emergency services require an open
passage and parking control is strict in Scheveningen.
The organization suggests everyone who has the possibility to come by public transport or
bicycle should do so. When you do travel by car we strongly advice using parking option 1.
This is closest to the Race Village, relatively cheap and available for cars and trailers. The
parking fee is 5 euro per movement. For example if you park your car and trailer on Friday
evening, you don’t use it anymore, and collect it on Monday evening you will be charged
only 5 euro’s.
Parking possibilities
A. Race Village
1. Parking “Zuiderstrandtheater” entrance via Hellingweg (fixed fee €5 per
movement)
2. Kranenburgweg (free parking, paid after 6 pm)
3. Dr. Lelykade at the quay (free parking, paid after 6 pm)
4. Dr. Lelykade Parking garage ‘De Reder’ (paid, opening hours are restricted)
5. Dr. Lelykade Gamma Parking garage Apcoa (paid,opening hours are restricted)
6. Houtrustweg Zuiderstrand (free parking, paid after 6 pm)
7. Parking Houtrust close to the squash center (free parking, paid after 6 pm, 10 minute
walk)page 5 Parking of keelboat trailers Trailers for small keelboats can be parked at parking option 1. All other parking possibilities are either expensive or not permitted. Accessibility of Hellingweg & Race Village As of 6th June, access to the Hellingweg and the race village is restricted for loading and unloading only if the situation permits. The 7th of June: no loading and unloading. Please keep into account that the quay area is an emergency road. It is not allowed to park cars/trailers or leave them unattended during loading or unloading. Crane Facilities LARGE KEELBOATS Crane facilities, will be available on the Marina area “Malherbe” (Hellingweg). Trailers can be stored on the marina area, but cars will need to be removed immediately. SMALL KEELBOATS
Like other years we will have temporary craning facilities on the west side of the Dr.
Lelykade. This is next to the mooring area for the smaller keelboats.
Operating hours are:
Friday 7th June 17.00 – 21.00 hours
Saturday 8th June 07.00 – 09.00 hours
Monday 10th June 14.00 – 17.00 hours
Docking
Small keelboats will be moored on a dock on the north side of “De Pijp”. All larger yachts will
be moored at the Jachtclub Scheveningen or Malherbe marina. Yachts with drafts over
3.90m are requested to contact the harbour office. Dinghies will be positioned on the beach
near the slipway or the parking spaces on the Hellingweg next to the slipway.
Regatta Office
The regatta office will be at the Race Village, which is located around Hellingweg 98 in
Scheveningen.

Payment method
This year the method to pay is with NSR coins. This coins can be bought at the
harbourmasters’ office. All major (credit) cards are accepted to buy the NSR coins. Coins
from previous editions will not be accepted during the North Sea Regatta 2019.
Check out – Check in
Smaller keelboats are required to check out when departing to the race area and check in
when returning to the harbor. Member(s) of the NSR crew will be standing at mooring area
4 (see map page 2) with check lists for the check out/in.
Shuttle service
For easy access to the race village there will be a shuttle service, for crossing “de pijp” each
race day from 16.00 – 19.00 hours. Pick up points are on the north and south side of “de
pijp”. Also indicated on the map.page 8 Breakfast, lunch and diner possibilities Captains Diner 28th of May On the 28th of May just before sail away there is, as always, a Captains Diner in Clubhouse “’t Spuigat”. For € 15 you get a delicious and nutritious diner with two drinks included. The diner is between 15:30 and 17:30, so you can be on time at the start of the VuurschepenRace at 19:00. Registration for the Captains Diner can be made when applying for the Vuurschepen Race in Manage2Sail or by sending an email to info@nsr.nl. Registration closes on Thursday 23th May. Harwich 29th – 31th May There is a possibility to have breakfast, lunch and diner at the RHYC. Wednesday 29th May – dinner till 22.00 Thursday 30th May – breakfast 08.30 – 10.30, lunch 12.00 – 14.30, diner 18.00 – 22.00 Friday 31th May – breakfast 07.00 – 09.00 Snacks Scheveningen 1th – 2th June After the North Sea Race at “’t Spuigat” from around 08.00 till 22.00 a small menu is available. Morning Coffee 8th, 9th and 10th June During the North Sea Regatta Inshores fresh coffee and croissants, are available at the Coffee truck in the morning at the quay, near the Sailors bar. Sailor Drink & Dinner 8th, 9th and 10th June Foodtrucks will be available at the Race Village on Saturday and Sunday. Maybe also on Monday but we will inform you about that on a later date. Toilets and showers Toilets and showers are available at the Jachtclub Scheveningen in the Harbour Office, Hellingweg 98, just ahead of the exit from the visitors docks. There are also coin-operated washing machines and dryers (coins, as well as washing powder, may be obtained from the Harbour Office). Additional toilets are available near the small keelboat mooring area. EHBO / First aid First aid is available on Saturday 8th June from 08.00 – 00.00, Sunday 9th June from 08.00 – 00.00 and Monday 10th June from 08.00 -18.00 Outside these hours, the regular telephone numbers and contact details of the doctor / pharmacy / hospital are listed below.

Cash machine
On the terrain of the North Sea Regatta there will be no opportunity to withdraw cash. You
can use your card to pay directly the coins for the beverages. For the food trucks maybe a
little cash is handy. The closest ATM machines are located at:

Waste
There are enough waste bins and waste containers on the terrain. We ask you urgently to
use these bins, please help us to keep the venue clean!
Please use the underground containers for your bags of waste. These are situated in front of
the offices of the harbourmaster.
North Sea Regatta activities
It is nice for the followers of the Regatta competitors (partners, friends, family etc.) to follow
the entire event from the beach. The boats that will compete are well visible during the time
they set sail and come back in, especially from the piers you have a good view.
