GREEN DIAL FOR THE 60 YEARS
OF THE DAY-DATE
Known as the “presidents’ watch”, the Oyster Perpetual
Day-Date is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2016.
To mark this special occasion, it has been given a bright
new dial in green, Rolex’s hallmark colour. This special
version of the Day-Date 40 is available exclusively in 18 ct
Everose or white gold. It features the characteristic fluted
bezel associated with the model since 1956.

New paved dial
The Day-Date 40’s majestic 18 ct yellow gold case is endowed with a bezel set with 48 brilliant-cut
diamonds, and a new 18 ct yellow gold dial entirely paved with 721 diamonds. The new dial is
also enhanced with eight baguette-cut diamond hour markers in 18 ct yellow gold settings, and
two baguette-cut rubies at 6 and 9 o’clock.

Day-Date “Sertie”
Rolex is honouring the art of dial making and traditional gem-setting with two new Oyster
Perpetual Day-Date 36 models in 18 ct yellow gold embellished with diamonds and jade. The jade
carousel dials feature an openwork design hour ring in 18 ct yellow gold set with 217 diamonds
and delicately inlaid with green or lavender jade. Both versions are graced with bezels set with
52 brilliant-cut diamonds.

The precision of a
Rolex Superlative Chronometer
after casing is of the order
of −2/+2 seconds per day.
All Rolex watches are covered by the Superlative
Chronometer certification redefined by Rolex in 2015.
This exclusive designation testifies that the watch
has successfully undergone a series of tests conducted
by Rolex in its own laboratories according to its own
criteria, which exceed watchmaking norms and standards.
The certification applies to the fully assembled watch,
after casing the movement, guaranteeing superlative
performa nce on the wrist in terms of precision, power
reserve, waterproofness and self-winding. The precision
of a Rolex Superlative Chronometer after casing is of the
order of −2/+2 seconds per day, or more than twice that
required of an official chronometer.
The Superlative Chronometer status is symbolized by
