I grew up a “Skican kid”. My brothers and I spent hours in the parking lots of
Mt St Louis Moonstone and Blue Mountain, tucking “Skican exclusive” flyers under

Winter is often seen as a time to endure with cold wet days filled with bundling
up, shoveling driveways, and rushing indoors to stay warm. What is a family that
wants to play together supposed to do?
It’s simple really: Make winters what you want them to be.
Skiing and Snowboarding are two exceptional examples of ways families can play
together regardless of the cold and snow. These sports can be enjoyed on your
own or as a group regardless of ability, and can be learned and appreciated
for a lifetime.
Local hills like Glen Eden offer an incredible array of lesson offerings, tickets,
and passes. Whether you are totally new to the sport, or a seasoned pro, they
have something for you. These smaller “feeder” clubs are what help drive the
sport by catering to those new to the sport, and making it possible for families
to sneak out after dinner or on a weekend and make a few turns close to home.
