RE: A Sporting Chance Track & Field Meet
A Sporting Chance is only holding 1 Track Meet this year. Due to cutbacks we have chosen to keep
the most popular Track Meet and that is the one held in Branson. The Branson Track Meet is FREE
if you choose to just do the Track Meet, have lunch, and then go home. The costs incurred are
only if you choose to do the overnight stay, attend a Show or attend Silver Dollar City.
The “Branson Invitational” "A Sporting Chance" Track & Field Meet will be held on Saturday, May
1 and Sunday, May 2, 2021. The Meet will be held at The Branson Jr. High School off of Bee Creek
Road. Enclosed, please find all the information you need in order to enter your athletes into this event.
If you need any clarification concerning the entry forms please contact our office and we will gladly work
together to solve any problem you may have.
Either/Or Events
We have events that are either/or events. For example, an athlete cannot do the Standing Long Jump
and the Running Long Jump, or the Softball Throw and the Shot Put. We have too many athletes in
these events so people must choose this year.
Entry Forms
Please note that the entry form has a SAMPLE ATHLETE for you to follow to hopefully answer any
questions you might have. All of your athletes may enter 3 events and also be on a relay team. Use
the Wheelchair and Low Mobility Athletes Event Listings for athletes who need assistance to compete.
Please put the name of the events and their practice scores on the Entry Forms. We also need the
birthdates (not ages) and the (sex) of the athletes as the information is put into the computer.
Deadline for "State" T&F Entries
The deadline for entries will be Wednesday, April 14 , at 5:00 p.m. Please meet the deadline so our
office can get information back to you on a timely basis. Please make sure that all entries that require a
distance score be submitted in feet and inches. If you need to, please FAX your entries to our
office by the deadline at (417) 874-1958.
Branson Meet (Survey)
Enclosed is a copy of a Survey concerning the State Meet in Branson. We don't want to take a trip
away from anyone but we can no longer afford to pay for every schools needs by raising money in
Springfield. Everyone needs to realize how large our program has grown and it is difficult to raise
money in your town out of our office. Please start working on businesses or civic organizations in
your towns now in order to have your athletes sponsored.A Sporting Chance

“Branson Invitational” (2021) Survey
The “Branson Invitational” T&F meet will be held in Branson on May 1, 2021 at the Branson Jr. High School just
off of Bee Creek Road & Hwy. 65. We will be staying at 2 different MOTELS this year. This survey needs to be
filled out and returned by April 14. You can attend this event at no cost, you just do not get to do any of the
extras or stay overnight. If you plan to stay overnight then you must pay for your rooms, all extra meals,
transportation, show tickets and your Silver Dollar City tickets.
Rooms
A Sporting Chance can get room s at Best Western Center Pointe Motel at a rate of $50 (With an Indoor Pool).
We also have rooms at The Barrington Hotel for $60 a night (With an Indoor Pool)
Meals
A Sporting Chance can get Saturday night dinner at a cost of $8 per person. The Sunday morning breakfast is
free and provided by the Motel. Both Motels have hot breakfast, which includes waffles, biscuits & gravy,
scrambled eggs, cereal, pastries, coffee and other drinks. If this is not enough you have the option of paying us
$6 a meal and we will send you to Starvin Marvin's Restaurant for their buffet. If you attend Dolly Stampede
on Saturday night then you have no Saturday night meal cost.
Tickets
If you plan to attend Silver Dollar City then everyone going must pay the $30 fee per ticket. Show Tickets range
from $10 up to $36 per ticket. Dolly Stampede includes dinner and the cost is $35 per person. (Price Increase at
Dolly Stampede this year). Most of the other shows cost $12 per ticket but do not include a meal. Please
designate your choice of Music Show you would like to see and how many show tickets you need.
