It is a pleasure for me to present the 2017 Annual Report on Animal Health in
Denmark on behalf of the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (DVFA).
This Annual Report first gives a general presentation of the Danish animal health
surveillance and contingency planning.
The report then reviews developments in 2017 in the field of animal health in
Denmark, the focus being on the OIE-listed diseases and the animal diseases that
are notifiable in Denmark.
The report also provides statistical information and an overview of surveillance
that may be useful for reference purposes. Furthermore, the report contains
statistics on animal by-products as well as livestock statistics.
I hope that you will find the information in this Annual Report useful; however,
