3. NEWBORN BABY
Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Fu Siqiang on the birth of their 2nd child, Master
Fu Shanyang on 23 March 2020.
4. HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES
Our heartfelt condolences to Clara Hong, Tan Kah Hian, Tan Wen Shan and
Tan Wen Yang on the demise of their beloved mother/mother-in-law/
grandmother, the late Mdm Chua She Han on Sunday, 29 March 2020 in
Malaysia. We pray for God’s peace and comfort for the family during this
time of their loss.

PALM SUNDAY
Today, PALM SUNDAY (aka Passion Sunday) commemorates the
triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover.
It marks the beginning of Holy Week, when Jesus died and rose
again on Resurrection Sunday. As we draw close to the events of
His sacrifice for us, let us pause to reflect and reconsecrate
ourselves to Him.

COVID-19
*THE COURAGE FUND*
Dear AMC family,
"Individuals and families impacted by COVID-19 can now apply for *The Courage
Fund*.
Through the giving hearts of many Singaporeans and companies, the Fund has
raised over $5.9m to help those who succumb to the virus, as well as healthcare
and frontline workers, and community volunteers who contract it in the line of
duty.
It’ll also lend relief to lower-income families facing financial difficulties due to
members contracting the virus, under quarantine, on Stay-Home Notices or
mandatory Leave of Absence (LOA). Eligible families can apply at the nearest
Social Service Office (SSO) from *6 Apr 2020*

Synchronised Prayer to battle against COVID-19
Let us pray in UNITY with one another virtually wherever we may be, at a fixed time and see
how God intervenes and changes the situation.
Wherever we are, let us pause at 9pm from 05 April 2020 to pray in one accord and in
oneness of spirit for God to eradicate the COVID—19 virus.
2 Chronicles 7:13-15 New International Version (NIV)
“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or
send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will
humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will
hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be
open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
Let us turn our fears and worries to intercession.
Prayer pointers:
1. WORLD
i) God’s grace and mercy on all countries that are affected by COVID-19, especially
USA, Italy and Spain who are most severely affected.
ii) Heal those who are sick and protection for those who are not.
iii) Protection for all frontline healthcare workers from the virus, for stamina during
long and intense work hours, and for safe protocols to be observed in healthcare
institutions in order to keep them protected.
iv) God’s Divine intervention to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
v) Strengthen the global Church. Calm our fears.
vi) May this pandemic pave the way for spiritual renewal and spiritual revival.
2. PRAY FOR SINGAPORE
i) Protection from the COVID-19 virus. Effective containment measures leading to
reduction in number of infected cases
ii) Pray for those whose livelihood has been affected by this situation that they will
experience God' s provision through His people.
iii) Pray that more than 200,000 people coming back from overseas will not spread
the virus and will obey the SHN measures by the authorities.
3. PRAY FOR THE SINGAPORE GOVERNMENT TO HAVE
i) Extra wisdom as our leaders navigate this pandemic and economic uncertainty.
4. ALDERSGATE METHODIST CHURCH
i) God’s protection over Aldersgate Methodist Church, Fairfield Methodist School
(Primary), Fairfield Methodist School (Secondary), APC kids and teachers,
Pastors, AMC staff, cleaners and all AMC worshippers from the COVID-19 virus.
ii) Fill us with hope, joy and peace as we continue to trust in God in these uncertain
times.
