Tour, Cat. B
5 Days/4 Nights, approx. 115-151 km,
30–57 km daily, mostly flat,
2- and 3-star-hotels

The Baltic seaside resort Warnemünde is a district of the historic Hanseatic city of Rostock and flows into the
Warnow. It is the start for your cycling tour on the Baltic Sea cycle path. You cycle in Northern Germany along the
river Warnow and along the Hochuferweg to Fischland/Darß. Who loves beaches in the cycle vacation in
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, comes at the “west edge” at its expense. From Barth you cycle along the Bodden to
Stralsund. The historic old town has been a World Heritage Site in Germany since 2002. Let yourself be inspired
by the old churches and expecially by the bridge to Rügen.

Info Bike path
Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Route - in the far north of Germany.

Cycling vacations in Germany between beaches, fishing villages and the deep blue Baltic Sea.Enjoy the changing
landscape while cycling: the view of the Baltic Sea and forested steep banks. In the hinterland, deep blue lakes,
fjords and fields beguile. Historic fishing villages and vibrant port towns tell the story of the coastal region and
offer an attractive cultural program for all bike tour guests in Germany.

Length: The Baltic Sea Cycle Route is 430 kilometers long.
Signage: The route is signposted throughout with the blue logo of the Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Route.
Condition: The Baltic Sea Cycle Route is mainly asphalted, in places also on sand and gravel surfaces. On
Fehmarn, sections of the Baltic Sea Cycle Route are expected to be poor. The route runs mostly through flat
coastal terrain. Between Flensburg, Kappeln, Eckernförde and Kiel, uphill stretches are to be expected in places.
Start/Destination: The Baltic Coast Cycle Route begins in northern Germany, in Kupfermühle near Flensburg.
The bike tours in Germany lead via Maasholm on the Schlei, Eckernförde , Kiel, Hohwacht, around the sunny
island of Fehmarn to Lübeck-Travemünde.
Characteristics: The bike tour is easy to ride and very family friendly. Please note that especially near the coast
you have to expect winds that can also change direction.
Equipment: We recommend sporty and comfortable clothing. It is essential to carry a wind- and weatherproof
overcoat, because due to the proximity to the sea, a short heavy rain shower is to be expected every day. For
safety reasons, the use of a bicycle helmet is recommended.Details and information:
