    THE 15th BULGARIAN AMATEUR OPEN
               CHAMPIONSHIP
               from 23rd till 25th of May 2019 to be played
     over BlackSeaRama Golf & Villas and Lighthouse Golf Resort.

    THE COURSES
    BLACKSEARAMA
    Endless sea view from the height of 200 meters towards the magnificent and extremely di-
    verse bay from Cape Kaliakra to Cape Galata of the Black Sea - this is BlackSeaRama, the
    first championship signature golf course in Bulgaria - 18 holes, par 72, length of 6648 me-
    ters - and the first completed project of Gary Player in Eastern Europe.
    From a flat terrain, a magnificent classical cliff-top links golf course is created, with intimacy
    at very each of the fairways and with greens, often exceeding the regular sizes. The whole de-
    sign is fulfilled with respect towards the player, as it gives him/her a maximum of the chance
    for a good round at a high-class golf course, where the wind - as it is usual when close to the
    sea - is often a significant factor.

LIGHTHOUSE
    Ian Woosnam is not only one of the world’s greatest and most experienced golfers, but has
    also proven his exemplary design talent on a range of new courses around the world. The
    most recent of these projects in association with European Golf Design (EGD), is the Light-
    house course. The Lighthouse course is the major championship winning golfer’s first project
    in Bulgaria.

    Lighthouse Golf & Spa Resort, Bulgaria is ranked 64th in the European Golf Resorts Top
    100 List. With its 5* hotel accommodation, championship golf course designed by Ian

    BLACKSEARAMA GOLF & VILLAS

THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
    There will be a HCP limit for the Championship:
    Men 0-9
    Ladies 0-9
    The format will be stroke play for both divisions over three rounds of 18 holes.

    The ENTRY FEE for the Championship is 260 EUR and includes:
    -     Golfers Welcome Gift

    -     3 x Tournament Rounds (2 x BlackSeaRama and 1 x Lighthouse)
    -     Driving Range Balls

    *There is the option to play Thracian Cliffs before the tournament. The Bulgarian Golf Associ-

    Starting times for the first round will be announced on the Welcome cocktail

    23rd May
    8:30 – 17:30 1st round – 18 holes Strokeplay - BlackSeaRama

    24th May
    8:30 – 17:30 2nd round – 18 holes Strokeplay - Lighthouse

    25th May
    8:30 – 17:30 final round – 18 holes Strokeplay - BlackSeaRama
    20:00 – Prize giving and closing party at BlackSeaRama

    Tee times for 2nd and 3rd round and leader board will be posted at 19:00 and will be avail-
    able at the golf course and in the hotel or you can call: +359 888 698 991 for start times be-
    tween 19:00 and 21:30.
    Competitors must register at the Tournament office at BlackSeaRama not later than 17:00
    on Wednesday, 22 May
    Practice round will only be allowed on the official practice day.

COMPETITION CONDITIONS
    1. Competitor must be an amateur as defined by the current Rules of Amateur Status.
    2. Format of the competition - The Championship Division shall be decided over 54 holes Medal
    Gross
    3. There will be a Trophy for the Best Nett over 54 holes in the Championship Division
    4. In the event of applications exceeding the maximum limit, all entries shall be decided by ballot,
    preference given to lower handicaps, which shall take place immediately after the closing date for
    entries. All unsuccessful entrants will be informed without delay thereafter.
    5. Players in the Championship Division will walk during all stipulated rounds .
    Medical certificates will not be accepted as a reason for using buggies .
    6. Tee-times for the practice days can be booked at BGopen@golfbg.net
    7. The competitors in the Championship Division who tie for the first place shall play a hole by hole
    (sudden death) play-off to determine the winner.
    8. Any competitor who is not present at their first Tee when called upon to start shall be disquali-
    fied.
    9. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to set and/or alter starting times.
    10. Participants are obliged to use golf balls and driving clubs, that are listed as conforming with
    the Rules of Golf on the R&A Rules Limited web-site www.randa.org;
    11. A competitor shall not knowingly make use of any drug to enhance his performance. Should a
    competitor show clinical evidence of use of drug for a non – therapeutic purpose, the Committee
    may require him to undergo a drug test. Any competitor infringing this condition may be disqual-
    ified.
    12. Pace of Play condition will apply.
    13. The Championship Committee reserves the right to vary the Championship Conditions if it
    is necessary
    14. Entrants must conform in all respects to the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by R&A
    Rules Limited and sign the declaration in the entry form to that effect.
    15. Entrants from outside Bulgaria shall provide a HCP certificate issued by the authority under
    the handicapping system adopted in the country from which he has entered.
    16. The Championship Committee reserves the right to disqualify any competitor making a false
    statement on his entry form.
    17. The completed and signed entry form must be received by the ‘Bulgarian Golf Association’
    office not later than Friday, 17 May 2019.
    18. All disputes must be referred to the Head Referee who will resolve them by use of the Rules of
    Golf as approved by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews. If it is not possible to resolve
    a dispute, the Head Referee will place it before the Championship and Rules Committee and its
8   decision shall be final.
