                                                                                                                               brings an obligation and duty
                                                                                                                               which links me and my work to
                                                                                                                               Tāmaki Makaurau.

                                                                                                                               history, as well as my weaving

                                                                                                                               with some wonderfully talented
                                                                                                                               people. My sons Kian and Kalani
                                                                                                                               helped me on the Karangahape
                                                                                                                               Road project, which brings an
                                                                                                                               additional sense of purpose and
                                                                                                                               responsibility to ensure their
                                                                                                                               mana is upheld and shared in our
                                                                                                                               combined knowledge.”
