Your unit’s trip to Winterfest will likely be the highpoint of the year for your youth. Be sure to plan
well enough in advance so you can fully enjoy it. Book your rooms early, as the official Winterfest
hotels will fill quickly.
Included in this packet is information on each of the hotels that we have negotiated a discounted
rate with. These are special discounted rates for Winterfest 2020. When calling to make a reserva-
tion with the hotel you choose, you must specify that you are attending Boy Scouts of America
2020 Winterfest Convention and ask for the special W inter fest Rate for yo ur Po st,
Crew, Ship, or Troop.
Information on each hotel can be found in this guide and you can book directly from it. For more

Return to Summary Additional Information Tennessee Sales Tax Note that only organizations classified as “501(c)3” by the IRS are able to get Tennessee Tax Ex- empt Certificates. If your unit is classified as such, you can follow the steps below to acquire a tax exempt certificate for Tennessee. Direct Link: https://www.tn.gov/content/dam/tn/revenue/documents/forms/sales/f1306901.pdf Steps: 1. Go to this Website: https://www.tn.gov/revenue/taxes/sales-and-use-tax/forms.html 2. Scroll down to Exemptions. 3. Click on “Application for Sales and Use Tax Exempt Entities or State and Federally Chartered Credit Unions”. 4. Complete the one-page application (there is also a one-page instruction sheet). 5. Print the application and mail to the address listed on the instruction sheet. 6. Allow six weeks for processing. 7. Any questions call the Tennessee Revenue Office at 615-253-0600. 8. Again, only organizations classified as “501(c)3” by the IRS are able to get Tennessee Tax Ex- empt Certificates.
