FINE

Optical setups are prone to back-reflections of laser light into the laser
source. These back reflections into diode lasers can cause power instabilities
and high noise levels. All lasers in the iBeam smart family contain the FINE
(Feedback Induced Noise Eraser) feature, which eliminates this problem. A
simple push of a button makes these lasers ultra-stable even under optical
feedback. Customers save time and costs, by making re-alignment and
optical isolators unnecessary.

COOLDC

The COOL technology (Constant Optical Output Level) is TOPTICA´s unique
solution for high power single-mode hands-off permanently fiber coupled
lasers. Aligning and focusing a laser beam into single-mode fibers (down
to core diameters of 2.5 µm) with highest efficiency is utmost challenging.
TOPTICA´s patent pending COOL fiber coupling concept is new, because
it does not use any mechanical micro adjustable parts, which normally are
the first to move due to thermal or mechanical influences.

SKILL

The SKILL function acts as a purely electronic „Speckle KILLer“. By
decreasing the longitudinal coherence lengths of the emitted light, the
speckle generating mutual interference of wavefronts is reduced. Thus
annoying speckle noise on detectors and imaging systems can be lowered
to a minimum.
