and Crime Plan?
What does a Police and
Crime Commissioner do? The Police and Crime Plan is a document I must produce that tells the police what you the public
want them to do. The Plan is important as it sets out and communicates the policing and crime
priorities as I see them to the public, the police, partner agencies, the Police and Crime Panel, the
Home Secretary and others with an interest in how South Yorkshire is policed.
The Police and Crime Plan 2017-2021 was published shortly after my re-election in May 2016. Each year I
refresh it to take account of any changing or emerging policing and crime priorities.
Over the past twelve months, the public, the police and partners have told me that the issues listed below
are those we are all most concerned about. Accordingly, I am publishing this renewed Plan for 2018/19.
