FREE AARP TAX-AIDE PROGRAM RETURNS IN FEBRUARY
Lee Senior Center is excited to have the AARP Free tax return preparation offered again at our Council on
Aging., starting in February and continuing through April 15th. This service is available to all middle and
low-income taxpayers with special attention to those aged 60 and older. Taxpayers do not need to be a
member of AARP or a retiree to use this service.
Please contact the COA , a document packet will be available for pickup. The document package will con-
tain multi page Tax-Aide questions form (13614-C). All pages must be completed before the first appoint-
ment. The package will also contain a checklist of required documentation to be supplied on the day of the
appointment. Tax returns will not be completed on the appointment day as in prior years. A follow up ap-
pointment will be scheduled after the initial appointment to review results, gather signature, print a copy for
the taxpayer and file the return electronically.
Taxpayers are required to have all documents when they arrive to get their tax returns started. If they don’t
have documents the return can’t be prepared and a follow up appointment may have to be rescheduled.
