As the President of the Board of Directors at the Northwest Yacht Brokers Association (NYBA),
I’m honored to welcome you to our April Boats Afloat Show on South Lake Union!
All of us at NYBA appreciate what it takes to get settled into a new boat, whether it be for
business or pleasure, and I sincerely want you to know that we are here to help you. There are
so many things to think about when securing a boat, and that’s what makes boat shows like
ours so valuable: we are here to answer your questions, and carefully walk you through the
process so there are no missing links.
Our association membership is comprised of many yacht brokers who have their Certified
Professional Yacht Brokers (CPYB) credentials (see Page 21 of this show program to see a list of
the Northwest CPYB Members). The CPYB is the highest benchmark attainable to identify
brokers who have gone through the arduous and challenging process to become certified, and
become the absolute “best of the best” in the business. With the CPYB certification comes an
oath for ethics in the yacht brokering business – ethics that protect buyers and sellers alike. We
are really proud to be a Partner Association for CPYB, and we all work very hard to ensure that
your next adventure is off to the very best start possible when finding, and then buying the

After collecting feedback over the years from yacht brokers and event attendees
alike, we are now offering two 4-day shows a year: in April and September. The
timing of these two shows each year is ideal as the weather is better, the days are
