Rules
Entries
• Last registration date is October 4th 2018
An electronic entry form is available on our website www.swimming.lu.
(we have also prepared a "splash" file in order to send you the results on pdf
and on lxf ("splash" file).
On October 6th 2018 , you will receive a confirmation e mail regarding
your entries with your entries bill.
On October 7th we will publish on our website www.swimming.lu a
"draft" participant list in order to double check the entries with you

General regulations
• Races will fall under the regulation of LEN and FLNS.
• Age groups : 25-29 45-49 65-69 85-89
30-34 50-54 70-74 90-94
35-39 55-59 75-79 95-99
40-44 60-64 80-84
Premasters (20+) can take part. Female and male
premasters may be put in the same heats, depending on the number
of entries.
• Relays : Entries for relays have to indicate the names of the swimmers and
their year of birth. An entry time must also be provided. Changes in relay
teams must be indicated by submitting a new starting card before the
warming up of the session in which the relay will be swum.
Heats and seeding
• Starting lists will be published on our website (www.swimming.lu) as soon
as the entries have been processed. No changes are possible hereafter.• One start list per club will be handed out at the welcome desk in the
swimming pool.
• The heats will be seeded with 10 persons per heat according to entry times.
• The organizing committee reserves the right to put 2 swimmers per lane in
the 800m and 1500m freestyle. Participants in the 800m and 1500m freestyle
will have to arrange for someone to count their laps. For the 1500m
freestyle the cut off time is fixed to 32 minutes. A swimmer may be taken
out of the 1500m freestyle by the referee if he or she is still swimming when
the cut off time has been reached.
• For the 800m and 1500m freestyle, swimmers must confirm the participation
at the race event by sending an email confirmation to
luxopenmasters@gmail.com
Officials
• Clubs with more than 8 participants are requested to bring an official. The
officials may sleep for free at the gym. Food and beverage during the
competition will be for free.
Results
• Results will be published in two places at the swimming pool during the
event and posted on the Swimming Luxembourg website
(www.swimming.lu ). An lxf file will be also published on our website.
• No results will be printed on paper. If you need a hard copy of the results,
you have to order your copy together with your registration. We will charge
€ 5,- for this service.
By entering the Luxembourg Open Masters as a competitor, we
inform you that your name, surname, date of birth and performancewill be communicated to the Luxembourg Open Masters committee
and you hereby consent that this information shall be made public and
published on the internet.
Awards
• In each individual event and relay there will be three medals per age group.
• Swimmers who swim a European or World record will be called for an extra
ceremony and receive a trophy.
• Oldest male and female participant will be honored.
• The male and female swimmer with highest number of individual points.
• The best performance among the enabled.
• Team-award: The 6 best clubs will receive a trophy. The points will be
distributed as follows:
1st place – 12 points 2nd place – 10 points 3rd place – 8 points
4th place – 6 points 5th place – 4 points 6th place – 2 points
The medal ceremonies will take place during the competition. Be aware of
announcements from the speaker. Medals will not be sent by mail. All medal
ceremonies will take place in the lounge on 1st floor.
Social activities / Food
• There will be a stand with sandwiches, cakes, snacks etc. throughout the
competition and the medal ceremony.
• Warm lunch (including water) between 12h00 and 14h00 at the pool
complex both Saturday and Sunday for the price of 12 €
(Lunch must be ordered through the attached form)
Accommodation
• Accommodation is available in the gym at the pool complex. You have to
bring your own mattress and your sleeping bag.• Price: 15,00 € per night per person. The price includes the accommodation at
the gym and breakfast. The gym will be open from Friday around 19.00.
(Accomodation must be ordered through the attached form) .
• Accommodation in hotels or youth hostel. The organizing committee does
not reserve any hotel rooms !!!
