What’s so Clever?
Q U A L I T Y
Our high-strength HPL finish means you can say
goodbye to scratches on worktops and tables.
Built from 15 mm laminated wood, furniture
and fixtures won’t rattle on even the poorest
quality roads, allowing you to enjoy the trip
undisturbed by annoying noises. The combina-
tion of high-grade insulation (20 mm closed-
cell foam) and the Seitz framed windows fitted
as standard, affords you the perfect protection
from excessive heat and cold. The quality of
Clever, not always visible but you’ll be able to
feel it every day.

CONCENTR ATING ON WHAT
RE ALLY MAT TERS
Just how are you able to offer your motor-
homes at these prices? It’s a question we fre-
quently hear, and the answer is amazingly
simple. We focus on the things that are tried
and tested, and just ignore all the superfluous
gimmicks. Vehicle decor and curtains may be
nice details, but if the standard fitted exterior
lighting fails, leaving you standing in the dark
in front of your vehicle, you’ll quickly realise
what’s actually important.

Who hasn’t ever had that quick glance at the
instrument panel? Will the battery hold out?
Do we have enough fresh water? Like any-
where else, resources are not inexhaustible in
a Clever Van, but we make the best possible
use of what’s available to us.
For example, with us you get large capacity
batteries that need to be recharged much less
frequently than others. Water tanks, clever-
ly placed so that they can hold the maximum
possible volume. Never compromise on aspects
like the electrics, utilities and storage space.
You can depend on our technology, which is
also tried and tested outside the boundaries of
Europe. Something that numerous Clever driv-
ers will happily attest to.

Innovations
We are one of the few panel van makers to offer
uninterrupted rear panelling in 2021 (Cleverly not
included), which is not only a visual upgrade, but
also improves the quality of insulation.
We have enhanced the interior with a soft-touch
surface in the sleeping area (Cleverly not includ-
ed), and in the front section of the lounge area,
we have improved the integration of the new
wall panelling colour into our existing design.
The 2021 models also feature our distinctive new
floor covering, and customers can also order a
range of door colours and trims for our ceiling
cabinets. In the washroom, the black offset shelf
creates a pleasing visual accent.

You won’t have to travel too far before you fall in
love with the compact design of the Tour mod-
el, as you effortlessly navigate narrow old town
streets and winding passes. Because it comes with
everything that a large motorhome has to offer: 4
seats, 2 permanent beds with a sleeping area of 194
x 140/136 cm (the largest in its class), and of course,
a washroom and kitchen able to store plenty of pro-
visions for the next trip.

up this 160 cm-wide bed, and you’ll find a huge

Vario Kids
Anyone who’s wanted to take a motorhome holiday
with more than two people, knows the problem:
Where’s everyone going to sleep? The Vario Kids lets
you decide if two, three or even four of you hit the
road together, because the Vario Kids means you can
adjust the sleeping layout at any time to suit your
needs. The top bed can be pushed together or even
removed completely, and with the optional remov-
able ceiling cabinets, everyone always has enough
onboard storage space.

arrangement. Part of the delivery scope, the centre

Four-wheel drive is designed for all those who like to
get off the hard-paved road, or who tend to use their
vehicle more frequently in winter. In the Alsace-based
firm, Dangel, Clever Mobile has found an outstanding
partner boasting decades of experience in developing
four-wheel drive systems.
Whether it’s damp grasslands, snow-covered parking ar-
eas in winter or even steep inclined dirt roads, Dangel’s
four-wheel drive technology will never let you down.
H O W D O E S I T W O R K ?
Dangel’s four-wheel drive is not a permanent 4x4 sys-
tem. You always have the option of driving with just
two powered wheels (2WD), or with four (4WD). In
4WD mode, the rear axle is automatically engaged in a
matter of seconds, whenever you need it (when a front
axle wheel starts spinning, for example). The benefit of
the system is obvious: You only ever use the four-wheel
drive when you actually need it, so reducing wear and
lowering costs. In other words, the level of efficiency is
enhanced! And the whole system can also be fitted with
a differential lock, which will keep you moving forward
in the most extreme conditions.

Bench seats
One of the greatest strengths here at Clever
Vans, is how we produce our own seats and
bench seats. As a former vehicle seat manu-
facturer, we can harness a whole wealth of ex-
perience in this area, and you’ll feel that. We
have a unique selection of moulded forms and
materials, and all our seats are approved by
the German Technical Inspection Association
(TÜV), and have been crash-tested!
ISOFIX SYSTEM

The 2021 version of our standard bench seat also
comes with Isofix pre-fitted. This allows you to
securely attach two child seats to it (always make
sure to check the width of the seat, please).

You have the option of adding a single room in
the front, alongside the sliding door. When it
comes to comfort, our Chairman seats in the
driver’s cabin are second to none. Please note
that this reduces the kitchen block by about

Creating two additional beds couldn’t be simpler. In a
few easy steps, the roof area is transformed, and children
will find nothing more exciting that spending the night
up there. And there’s enough space for adults to enjoy a
relaxing night’s sleep here too. Another highlight: Enjoy a
whole different perspective of your surroundings thanks
to the elevated position and large panoramic window.
With the slatted frame and comfortable foam mattress, a
comfortable sleep is guaranteed.
One other benefit of our in-house designed sleeper roof
is the high-strength construction featuring large-format
laminated fibre-glass matting, with added gel coat for
optimum resistance to UV radiation and moisture.

One of Europe’s most modern panel van production
plants was built here 9 years ago. Home to a factory
with about 7,000 m² of floorspace, and an external area
of over 40,000 m², this is where a team of highly moti-
vated craftspeople, aided by cutting-edge equipment,
builds vans to customer specifications. And it’s here
that our seats and bench seats are manufactured in a
dedicated section of the works. This is how we are able
to meet practically every customer wish, and guarantee
the level of quality that typifies Clever.

Small-scale and sophisticated, the Cleverly production
site has been based here for almost two years now. A

9 - S P E E D A U T O M AT I C ( F I AT O N LY )
The 9-speed automatic transmission will impress you
with its superlative driving pleasure and reliability – say
goodbye to continually gear switching. All nine gears
automatically shift quickly, efficiently and smoothly
thanks to a torque converter. Effortless shifting be-
tween shorter gear changes for enhanced response, in-
creased torque and improved fuel consumption. What’s
more, the new automatic transmission allows every
driver to adapt the vehicle response to their particu-
lar requirements, and to select between three different
driving modes at the flick of a switch: Normal for an
optimum balance between performance and economy,
ECO for fuel-economy style driving, and Power when
fully loaded or on a long uphill stretch.
TRACTION+
is an innovative traction control system that improves
traction on even the most challenging, low-grip surfac-
es. If one drive wheel loses traction, the control unit will
detect that wheel is slipping, before braking it and de-
livering torque to the wheel with the best grip. During
hill descents, it can maintain a constant speed without
the driver having to perform any braking actions.

Complete package with all the important safety features.
TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITION: Using the vehicle’s on-
board camera, this system assists the driver by rec-
ognising speed limit and no-overtaking signs, and
projecting these onto the on-board display.
HIGH-BEAM ASSISTANT: Switches automatically be-
tween dipped and full-beam headlights, improving
vision when driving in darkness. The system recog-
nises vehicles travelling in the opposite direction, so
reducing the risk of dazzling road users.
LANE DEPARTURE WARNING SYSTEM: Emits an acoustic
and optical signal to warn the driver if it detects a
lane change.
RAIN AND LIGHT SENSOR: The rain sensor activates
the wipers, and adjusts their speed to the severity
of the rain. The light sensor automatically switches
on the low beam whenever the daylight falls below
a preset limit.
EMERGENCY BRAKE ASSIST: This integrated system is
designed to avoid collisions or mitigate their conse-
quences under certain conditions. It detects obsta-
cles located in front of the vehicle. If an imminent
collision is detected, the driver will be warned, and
an emergency brake triggered.
