MISSION STATEMENT: Our mission is to bring parents together to
connect with teachers and staff and raise funding to make Malden
Grade School the most enjoyable place to learn.
CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Please highlight anything in this handbook that will pertain to you or your family and
mark it in your personal calendar. All events are important to the school and your child,
so please be prepared to be involved.

Fundraisers
All parents or guardians of Malden Grade School students shall be requested to
participate in all major money making projects sponsored by MBC.

                           Concession Stand Schedule

Two or more volunteers are needed to run the concession stand at each game (too
much help is better than too little.) Workers are asked to arrive a ½ hour before game
time for set up. Volunteers will be asked to supply baked goods, fruit and vegetables for
certain games. BOOSTER CLUB OFFICERS WIL CALL FOR WORKERS, BAKED GOODS,
FRUIT AND VEGETABLE SUPPLIERS. PLEASE BE PREPARED TO VOLUNTEER.
Hospitality Rooms-TBD

  1. Officers will do table service set up in a designated room at 4:45pm.
  2. Booster Club will supply tablecloth, plates, napkins, plastic ware, bowls,
     Styrofoam cups, ice and chips.
  3. Allow for 20-30 people eating.
  4. Please have food at school no later than 5:15 pm.
  5. If your main dish is a sandwich meat, be sure to notify the parent bringing the
     bread or rolls to supply sandwich bread or buns.
  6. If you are supplying a hot food, please bring in a crock pot.
  7. All dishes will be disposable or be easily identified with your name on it.
  8. Dishes need to be picked up after the game.
  9. Cold food can be brought any time during the day and be put in the refrigerator.
     Please mark it for “Hospitality Room.”

Room Parents will call and give you a reminder of your responsibility. For K-4 parents
coming to the parties, the teachers will turn the class over to you, so please be
prepared. Grades 5th-8th parties, parents will bring or send with your child the treats,
supplies and games. You are not required to stay for the parties as long as the classroom
teach is ok with you leaving. Please be aware of food allergies and intolerances. Your
Room Parent and/or classroom teacher will let you know so you can plan accordingly.

K-4th Grades like to dress up. The Kindergarten through 4th grade will have their parade
15 minutes before their party. Their party will begin one hour prior to school dismissal.

The 5th-8th Grades may dress up. Their party will begin one prior to school dismissal.
Christmas
Friday, December 18, 2020
Kindergarten through 8th Grade parties are in their room and begin at 1:00 pm.

Valentine’s Day
Friday, February 12, 2020
Kindergarten through 8th Grade parties are in their room and begin one hour prior to
school dismissal. Be sure to allow enough time for Valentine exchanges in addition to
the games and/or party activities.
