Are you passionate about food and drinks? Do you have a hands-on
mentality and the natural ability to get sh*t done? And do you want
to be part of an independent craft distillery and one of the fastest
growing craft rum brands in the Netherlands?

It’s our mission to introduce real flavour innovation in rum by creating
a new category within; BOTANICAL RUM. By redistilling and infusing
rum with real botanicals in our independent solar powered distillery
in Amsterdam, we’re producing rums that aren’t just better tasting,
but also better for the world.
Fastest growing craft rum brand
Since the launch early 2017 we have been successful in getting listed
in over 500 accounts across the Netherlands, setting up distribution
and selling Spirited Union in 10 markets across Europe (and counting)
and opening our own 300m2 distillery with visitors center in
Amsterdam.
Master of Spinning Plates
To keep the supply of rum flowing, the shipments going, we’re looking
for a master of spinning plates. As our superstar intern you’ll join a
dynamic team and support the marketing team and general
operations in the Distillery and Distillery experience.

a week in the life of a
marketing intern
We are on a mission to fire up the rum revolution… One bottle, one bar, one city at the time. To make sure the Union
keeps growing at this pace and in the right way… we are looking for a Super Star Intern to support on the day to
day activities. Are you a master at spinning plates, creative and resourceful, a safe pair of hands and someone who
gets a kick out of being on top of the little things.? Then we would like you to join the Union.
Trade & Retail Marketing - International sales support (30%)
• Support our international sales team by creating beautiful brand introduction packs for new markets.
• As the project owner you co-create the hottest bar displays / branded merchandise / in- store activations; from first
idea to sourcing and implementation
Experience Marketing - Distillery experiences & events (40%)
• You will speak to tour operators and booking sites while you show them the distillery and negotiate a resellers deal.
• Be the first point of contact for group bookings for workshops and events, create proposals for
distillery events (bachelorette, company outing, teambuilding events) and manage bookings coming into the distillery.
• Keep track of individual bookings, and make sure we’re planning workshops and tours in an efficient way.
• Schedule staff to run events and workshops in the distillery.
• Make sure the place looks tight!
Communications - Content marketing & PR (30%)
• Together with Marketing you create content for our social media channels and ensure that the right message is placed at
the right time.
• You prepare our next (cocktail) photoshoot at the Flying Dutchmen Cocktails by creating a brief, collecting all props and
you of course attend the photoshoot.
• For our next PR stunt you support in setting an urban farm to launch our new product.
You have/ are good at (tick the boxes below):
O A desire to be part of an adventurous journey of a young Dutch international spirit brand.
O An independently and pro-active attitude (and not afraid of making mistakes).
O A Bachelor education in the direction of communication, marketing, business studies,
O leisure/ hospitality.
O You have an eye for detail and good organisational skills.
O A smart, practical brain that gets shit done.
O Outstanding English, both verbal and written (we are an international company).
O Too much energy and motivated to work hard.
O A passion for food and drinks.
O A feel for beautiful design
O The possibility to join us fulltime for at least 5 months.
O Managing projects, being on top of things, doing what you say you would do
O Understand how hospitality works, and how to make people feel like a million bucks.
O Managing your own time, as you do others. (its not a 9-5 job)
