                             administrator and educator. He joined the staff of the
                             American Philosophical Society in 1986, and was
                             appointed to his current position as Director of the
                                                                                       Inspiration
                             Library in 2003. The APS Library is the repository of
                             such icons as the Journals of Lewis and Clark, the
                             Papers of Benjamin Franklin, the final draft of the       June 15:
                             Declaration of Independence, and some 12,000 linear       Christopher Campbell
                             feet of other manuscripts, hundreds of thousands of       June 22:
graphic images, thousands of hours of recorded sound, and 350,000 books. As            Don Wilham

In 2011, Levitt was a Fulbright Specialist assigned to help open the first public

launched in 2012. Previously, in 1991-92, Levitt was a Fulbright Scholar to the        July 13:

the 2012 Distinguished Service Award of the Academy of Certified Archivists.

Levitt received an MA in History from Florida Atlantic University, an MLIS with        Birthdays
concentration in Archives Management from Florida State University, and a Ph.D.
in history from Temple University, where he wrote his dissertation, The United         Todd Hallowell
States Navy and Lighter-Than-Air Aviation, 1916-1962 under the guidance of             June 14

CART started in 1996 with Rotarians
voluntarily emptying their pockets and purses of change at weekly meetings. As
of May 2020 CART had awarded $9.2 million in 55 grants to recognized US
research institutions.
