Health and Wellness Tip for July
July is National Grilling month!
What better way to enjoy the delights of summer foods
than cooked over a grill? When grilling, it’s important to
follow the guidelines below to ensure your dining
experience is a safe and healthy one.
Before going outside to enjoy summer activities, don’t forget your sunscreen! Everyone
should use sunscreen to help prevent skin cancer. Anyone can get skin cancer, regardless
of age, gender or race. In fact, it is estimated that one in five Americans will develop skin
cancer in their lifetime. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends everyone
use sunscreen that offers the following:
· Broad-spectrum protection (protects against UVA and UVB rays)· SPF 30 or higher
· Water resistance
