Coming from the west, the south and the north, the three rivers unite as the Danube and continue to flow eastwards to the Black Sea. Passau is one of the absolute highlights of every Danube river cruise. Depending on which direction the cruise takes, Passau is usually the first or last port of call in Germany. Passau – the city on three rivers – looks back on an eventful history that has made it the vibrant
city it is today. Various eras over the last millennium have influenced the city and its inhabitants in
many different ways. This colorful history is clearly reflected in the wide range of sights to be seen
around town.
