                                                                                between the devices and the R&S®GTA-RN5.

Rapid setup of training scenarios using intuitive
                                                                            ­control software
                                                                             The graphical control software makes it possible to vary
                                                                             the virtual positions of the connected devices in the ter-
                                                                             rain without having to change their physical locations. All
                                                                             defined radio stations can be displayed on a digital map by
                                                                             means of the R&S®MapView geographic information soft-
                                                                             ware. After any position change, the path losses are recal-
                                                                             culated and activated in the device as required.

                                                                            All parameters necessary for calculating the wave propa-
                                                                            gation, e.g. the antenna height and the transmit power
                                                                            of the radios, can be set in the operating software on
                                                                            the control PC. From these parameters, the path losses
                                                                            ­between the radios are calculated and set in the device.
                                                                             The test and training scenarios created in this manner can
                                                                             be saved and re-used as required.
